<p>there is no such thing as saying you are “in” at yale until you have received a letter stating explicitly that.</p>

<p>Ya I mean ur definately dangling…but so are every other white/asian applicant (I am assuming u are an ORM bc u didnt state your race). Now if you were an American Indian or something lol they would b rolling out the red carpet and the like for you. However, because you are probably a member of the “blessed” races, its a reach.</p>

<p>lol I wish I were Native American. It took me a while to figure out what ORM meant, but yeah, I guess I am one. The title is mostly hype; I realize that Yale is a crapshoot for almost everyone. Thanks for the response.</p>

<p>Why don’t you apply to more science/tech schools?</p>

<p>Because my family can’t pay for it. Stanford, Berkeley, Caltech are known for their harsh aid to internationals. I may apply to Columbia. This is the wrong place to ask, but anyone got any college suggestions?</p>

<p>Well, I thought STanford said no tuition required for families that earn less than 100k.</p>
