I was thinking about applying to Yale SCEA, but I was also thinking about applying to Oxford University in Great Britain, and apparently I need to finish my Oxford application by September 1st. So, am I still able to apply to Yale SCEA if I’m applying to another school, even though it is not technically early action because the decisions for Oxford do not come out until March?

I guess all international colleges and universities apply to this question. Most international schools have early deadlines but regular decisions, so does that go against SCEA?

I am of a different opinion…Oxford may be due in Sept…but that would negate the position of single choice ea for Yale. if you applied to both…in your case you may be applying to Oxford, and then applying to Yale RD.

I was thinking that’s what Yale would tell me, but technically I would not be applying to Oxford early; that’s the deadline for regular decision international applicants. I guess I’ll call…

No, your Oxford app will not conflict with Yale SCEA. I know because I did the same thing, and I also applied to my state colleges, for which the apps were also due before the Yale EA app. A college app only counts as early if you will be notified of your decision in the winter.
