<p>Question number 5 on the supplement is “What makes you feel physically and mentally renewed, other than a good night’s rest?”</p>

<p>Do you think Yale wants a real answer like Yoga or saying “Serenity Now” over and over again?</p>

<p>I ask because the first thing I thought about writing seems kind of silly. I don’t want to tell you what I do, but it would be like my friend taking a break from her homework to clean her shoes.I didn’t know if they want a serious answer to see if you cope well or something, or if it is just a get to know you better question.</p>

<p>I don’t think you should TRY to move them… Just write honestly and it’ll come off as genuine :)</p>

<p>I wrote finding a new place to explore, i.e. abandoned building, wilderness I’ve never been to</p>

<p>I think they just want to find out more about who you are.</p>

<p>since they’re only 25 words or less, just answer them normally… don’t try to make them some spectacular essay, b/c you can’t do that in 25 words and still be genuine about it… i just answered it straight up and stayed around 20 words in answering them… short and to the point</p>

<p>^^^^ exactly. For the first question i just said that i would call up some friends to play pick-up basketball</p>

<p>yeah, the answer to my first one is 20 words and consists of me practicing my trombone and hanging out with some friends</p>

<p>a possible answer = “Completing Yale’s supplemental short answer essays” or “Getting those darn Harvard recruiters off my back!”</p>

<p>In contrast to my crazy long essays, my answers are all less than 6 words each.</p>

<p>^ Wow! Are they full sentences? Haha, the only way I can think of how they’re that short is if they’re incomplete sentences.</p>

<p>I had way too much trouble cutting one of mine down that just refused to cooperate XD</p>
