<p>So, Yale’s supplement essay asks applicants to write about something not mentioned already in the application. Does this mean that I shouldn’t elaborate on an extracurricular or a job that is only listed on the common app activities section? Is it better to write about something like family–a topic that is not mentioned at all in my application?</p>

<p>Didn’t they ask you to elaborate on an EC activity in the common app? Its one of the short responses. For the suppliment think outside of the box. family is a bit cliche</p>
