8.30 pm no email …
Guys I just realized Yale YYGS lied to us.
At first they said first week of April. Now on it’s website:
“Applicants will be notified electronically of admissions decisions in early April.”
I can’t believe they would do such a thing. It’s giving Yale more negative PR than positive honestly.
In defense of myself I don’t want to go to YYGS just for the name. But I definitely realize that that plays in part of the benefits of attending.
@BananaChips Nah its always been early April, just earlier on in the feed people had been saying that when they emailed Yale they were told it would be the first week
@BananaChips It still says the first week of April for me?

@calmdown21 It does play a part! If I’d never even heard of Yale, I’d never have researched it and figured out if it was right for me. But the fact that it’s known for being excellent helps, and that’s not a bad thing at all.
Guys lets not argue if anything we should come together and try out best to understand each other. All of this fighting is unnecessary and we’re honestly all working towards the same goal (to better the world we live in) and I don’t know about you guys but I can honestly say I do not think we can better the world by bickering over nothing. I know we all really want this ok, and obviously I’m really anxious like everyone else, but I also think its important to not bite each others heads off. We may end up in a program with each other this summer imagine how awkward it would be attending a summer program with someone you got in a fight with over CC.
Guys I think we should just relax, do some work, and good news may be coming while we are focusing on something more important than just waiting. Read a novel, do some homework, and check your inbox tomorrow. It will be there.
@Zaidy1 someone found the answer. And the winner is … tatatattatata : @thegoldenage .
@calmdown21 “In defense of myself” Hahaha … man I really do appreciate your honesty, but you have to realize that there are other people (not many ofc) who don’t think this way. Cheers m8
@YaleGirll if you don’t like your country than do something to get away from it.
Boarding schools which offer full scholarships:
- Andover/ Exeter Phillips Academies
- United World Colleges
- Top 5 Swiss International boarding schools.
Also ‘YaleGirll’ (it’s a bit ironic when you say that you don’t care about the brand), I encourage you to read my post again as you are kind of not getting it at all.
Also HI5 Fincancial Aid kids in the Cluuuuuuuuub!!!
Peace and love,
CES.
@emilyk1020308448 there is no fight going on . It’s just a discussion, and it’s making the things better as people are focusing more on my radical statements now :disagree: haha
So yeah … no worries yoo’
And yes, THE RESULTS WILL BE THERE TOMORROW !! <:-P
@CogitoErgoSum16 dude you seriously gotta chill with the hate on @YaleGirll. That post on boarding schools is just straight ignorant and immature man. Ending posts with “Peace and love” doesnt better your reputation, it makes you sound ignorant. Go ahead have your own opinion. Just don’t think that because people don’t know who you are you can just be straight disrespectful. Have some common courtesy man
@cogitoergosum16 easier said than done. Not everyone who isn’t happy where they are can just get shipped off to full scholarship boarding schools. I do actually like my country, it’s my home and I’ve made do with the resources I had.
I fell in love with Yale when I was 8 and my sister, who I really looked up to, was a HS senior and told me that Yale was the best. I’ve always been really ambitious, and that stuck. Later in life, I took the time out to research it and discovered that I loved everything about it. Please don’t assume things about me based on my username. I disagree with you, but I’m not going to debate this any longer.
@calmdown21 im lost. and a bit angered. but just because you use ‘dude’ in everything you say makes me less angered because I can guess your personality.
How? … why ? WHAT?!
How is the information about boarding schools “immature” and “ignorant” ?! What the fizzle?
She might actually find it useful and get a scholarship somewhere if she feels like her country can not offer her enough opportunities to fulfill her potentials.
… what the fizzle?!
@calmdown21 thanks for sticking up for me! It means a lot! But I agree with @emilyk1020308448 and @jonnny, we should all probably focus on something else for a little while to take the edge off haha
@CogitoErgoSum16 Duuuuuude, lol that’s funny and no im not some surfer from California or a stoner. I just take a casual approach to this. I was just making the point that bringing up the idea of telling her that she could go to a boarding school if she really doesn’t like her country kind of undermines her point. You seem to take more personal shots than explaining your position. And trying to assume my personality by things I have said on this feed and saying that you aren’t as mad bc of it makes it seem that you feel some superiority or that what I say may not matter as much. Whether you think that or not, what you have written has made many people think this way, that you feel some sort of superiority.
@calmdown21
i feel like im 4th grade all over again … if you think that’s me expressing my ‘superiority’ than so be it.
and next time chose your words right. anywayy idc.
(“that’s funny and no im not some surfer from California” ohhh the irony)
GOODNIGHT AND GL GREAT PEERS OF MINE!
@YaleGirll for whatever reason I had to write this 3 times before being able to post it (technical problems)
Im a scholarship student in one of those schools myself, so it is possible. If you want to go to Yale or similar universities you might want to consider going to one of those schools for your last 2 years of high school as it will increase your chances by giving you more opportunities to fulfill your potential and such. And if you go, you will get to see you beloved country more than 5 times a year for different holidays so, no problemos amigos.
Concerning your obsession with Yale, here is a good website to see what Yale really like: https://colleges.niche.com/. And a general suggestion: make sure you apply in other unis appart from Yale when the time comes.
And that’s it, I’m out.
I’m just sitting here brooding that they lied to me
GUYS THEY SENT
YYGS JUST SENT ME AN EMAIL
Didn’t get in, congrats to those that did!
