Does anybody know if everyone that doesn’t get accepted is put onto the waitlist? Or do they choose a select number of people to waitlist? Also, is it difficult to get off the waitlist?

I got waitlisted too. I also was waitlisted last year and never made it off. They let me know about two weeks after RD came out that I was not offered a place. I’m super bummed.

i got waitlisted. does anyone know if they take letters of continued interest/updates on situations? i started getting more awards and ended up ranked a lot higher for my extracurricular activities after i submitted my application–is there a way or is it allowed to send the YYGS office an update on that?

@interp21 same here got waitlisted. Even I recieved academic awards after submitting my application,but when I mailed them to update my application they declined.
You know what. Waiting an entire school year for two wait lists got me coming up with plan B’s. If Yale thinks of me as a after though then they probably expect something to happen, and thats okay. Don’t let a wait list or a denial weight you down. Let it expand your idea about yourself and your success.

A question: if I got waitlisted should i still choose my preferred session/program or choose as much sessions (on different programs) as i can???

I was accepted for BBS 1!!! I really hope the coronavirus goes away, would be a bummer to not go because of it.
