Yale's primary degrees?

I am seriously considering applying to Yale, for since attending a college day of sorts, I have been rather in love with the idea of going there. However, for the sake of getting a job in the future, I have decided to probably pursue an engineering major at whatever school I do attend, and as such, I am a little worried about Yale’s conspicuous absence from upper engineering school rankings. And so, to get to the point, what are Yale’s best degrees? What is it known for (Chicago has economics, MIT has engineering, and Yale…)? If someone could please fill me in on this, it would be greatly appreciated. I don’t want to pursue engineering at Yale if there is something else there that is highly esteemed that can land me a great job without requiring years beyond a baccalaurate degree. Thanks

If you go to Yale, you will get a job in the future. Don’t go into engineering if you don’t want to just because it’s a “secure” market.

Beyond that, my only response to this post is LOL.

The best degrees from Yale are: a Yale degree. Worry about getting in first, then I doubt your degree will hold you back.

Pretty much any degree from Yale you will be fine. E.g. History, Poli Sci, English, Econ, Engineering, Bio… they all work, although for some of the jobs you will have to learn more after graduation than others. Perhaps art history is a little less helpful, but honestly it doesn’t matter!

You could easily land a job with just a bachelor’s from Yale in engineering, economics, and many others. Also, at Yale, you could get a masters in just the four years. They have a program that allows you to do that if you get consistently excellent grades and possibly take an extra course or two.
