Yanks down 2-0 to the Twins

Yankee fans here in our house.
Happy that the Yankees drew the Twins instead of the Rangers, especially after the no -hitter that sank the Rays today in game one.

But down by 2 and CC looks a little erratic.
Anyone else watching???/

The no-hitter was in the Phillies game. But I’m glad my Rangers can instill fear in a Yankees fan.

Twins house here on the West Coast…Twins now up 3-0…awesome new ball park…hope this game is not too lengthy, 'cause I know S at college on East Coast is watching–already 10pm. there. GO to bed, Buddy!

Twins fan here in MN, but no cable tv :frowning: Keeping an eye on the score on the web, but can’t stay up too late cuz of a 5:15 am alarm clock tomorrow.

I did get to the new ballpark twice this summer, and it is amazing. Gosmom, go if you get to the Twin Cities next summer. Look around for the Kramarczuk’s polish sausage (I don’t like polish sausage, but I would make a special trip again just for one of those!).

intparent…sounds yummy! BTW, has Wally the Beerman been freed yet?

Dh and I took ds to the Twins ballpark on our way to drop him off at college. The Twins beat the Rangers on a controversial play. Ticked us off, but, yeah the park was nice. I’m rooting them this round.

Wally is benched indefinitely. So a local bar near the new stadium invited him in to sell beer from an iced tub inside. He says he is happy with it, he won’t have to climb all those stairs!

Yes, youdont’say, I’m overdosing on BB and mixing and matching my teams!

Well, my Yankees finally managed some offense against the Twins and have pulled ahead 4-3.
My alarm is also set early, 5:30 but it’s October BB…I can sleep in November.

Tied 4-4.

CC WALKED in the 4th run. eeeeeek.

I was raised in Arlington (home of the Rangers’ stadium, the Ballpark at Arlington). Knowing that we’ve only won one playoff game ever, I’m amazed that the prospect of playing the Texas Rangers could instill fear in ANYONE. Who knew?! LOL.

Dang! Missing Morneau…

I got to see the Phillies no hitter in person tonight!! What a thing to see!!

I’m jealous, fendergirl. How exciting.

nrdsb, I know! Decades of cheering for the Rangers has finally paid off.

Bummer.
Still hoping for a Twins/Giants match up :)

I’m hoping the REAL Andy Pettite shows up to pitch for the Yankees tonite.

^ Amen, musicmom. And while we’re at it, let’s hope the 2005-2008 Carl Pavano shows up to pitch for the Twins tonite. ;)

heyalb-
Yeah, what’s with that?
Carl Pavano stayed on the Yankee payroll for years and was injured/ineffective etc then turns into a pitcher for the Twins?

We used to call him “American Idle”.

Ya know, I would really like to see the Yankees win (did I say that?). Only because I want the Phillies to take em on in the World Series.

Maybe I should start a new thread now called “Twins down 2-0 to the Yanks”!
