There weren’t enough threads in here and as I have given up FB, I need somewhere to vent my excitement for next year. SO, this is a general excitement thread anticipating the fun-ness of next year! I can’t wait to see the gargoyles! And meet everyone ! And see what everything looks like covered in snow! ahh! so excited…

I requested B-J, M-P, and…S-H, i think. Although, I really just put stuff down that sounded good, lol.

Hooray for general excitement! I can’t wait! For everything! Every so often i just smile and jump or skip or something because I remember that I’m going to Chicago! I was reading Chicago Life on a plane ride last week and I kept poking my mom every three minutes to read her another cool fact. Even though she was watching a movie. I put down S-H, B-J, and Shoreland, though I’m really hoping for S-H. The mascot is an armadillo, which is amazing in my opinion.

I’m all for general excitement! I’m exactly the same way, writonthetransom. I jump up and down and scream periodically when I remember that I’m going to UC next year. YAAA

I put down BJ, SH, and Breckinridge. I think I should’ve put down Broadview instead of Breckinridge, but oh well - I’m just happy to be going!!

man why do all the early guys go straight for hitchcock of BJ? All the fun’s at MaxP from what i hear… but yeah, im 85% sure ill be going next year, so hooray for getting in, and seeing all the gargoyles and stuff! I’m really looking forward to getting to know a new city which is almost as nice as nyc…

I love beautiful old buildings, even if they’re a bit run down, so I picked Snitch and B-J over Max. Modern stuff can be cool too, but I prefer the old ones. I love places with stories behind them and the idea of living where Enrico Fermi lived and where the (or one of?) first women’s dorm in the country was, and living in a building that’s in the National Register of Historic Places. Plus, the B-J dining place is like Hogwarts, and did I mention the armadillo mascot at S-H?

When I vistied U of C (~2 yrs ago) I toured Max P and ate at the B-J, or should I say Hogwarts, dining hall. Wow! I don’t mind the modernist stuff, I was mainly interested in its proximity to things on campus. That’s why I put B-J first. not to mention the dining hall. anyway, i could really care less where I lived as long as it wasn’t a long walk from my classes.

They all look pretty nice, but I think I’m glad that I put Max P as my first. By the way, Smirkus what school do you go? (A fellow Brooklynite here)

I absolutely love telling everyone possible that I am going to Chicago. It’s going to be tough not telling my Berkeley Regent’s Scholarship interviewer this weekend (-Parents’ idea. They are in classic California denial that I’m moving away to the cold). I put Snell, Maclean, and Breck.

I’m deciding between MP and Broadview(yay private bathrooms!), but I’m not particularly fond of the 20 minute trek through an arctic deathscape to get to class. Regardless, I’ll be at what I consider the best American university, so I don’t really mind where I am. I’m just waiting on financial aid stuff to make it official.
