I’m thinking of my chances RD at Notre Dame, but I’m also applying to UVA, UChicago, Georgetown Foreign Service, UPenn, and Pomona.

Is your GPA weighted or unweighted? I think those all look like reaches

I second villanovagirl’s question: Is that your unweighted GPA? Because if so, from my really, really limited knowledge, your chances look decent from what I know about Notre Dame and UChicago (I’m not really familiar with the rest). While your SAT is a hair weak, I’m assuming that a 3.9 unweighted and a decent class rank will be sufficient to show that you just didn’t ace that particular test, and otherwise you’re a well rounded student. I’d say match to low reach at Notre Dame and UChicago at least, although for UChicago your essay is a big deal (of course).

For UVa you’re probably a reach, and a pretty high reach for UPenn and Georgetown, but not a “you probably won’t get in” reach, more like a “if they happen to need your kind of student more than another kind of student” reach; for instance, if they get a lot of amazing math\science kids but few applicants with any real classics knowledge, and weaker CR and W SATs, then you have a very good chance at that school. If its the opposite, then you probably have a lower chance at that school, know what I mean?

Of course, that’s if its a 3.9UW

“Dramatic,” not “Dramatically.”

Just wanted to let you guys now…I got into all those schools. Thanks!

nice. congratulations.
