I’m a 10th grader going into junior year when the fall starts, and I had a quick question–I’m transferring schools next year, and the school I’m at now is an independent study, year-round school, which essentially allows students to complete courses on their own time. I’m going to keep working throughout summer on my classes until I transfer, however, I was worried what colleges would think when it’s not your “traditional application,” since all of my classes aren’t spread out evenly in each semester. I was reassured by my teacher that colleges DO see year round schools, as well as transcripts that look different, and as long as the class itself is completed and graded, there is nothing to stress. I was wondering if this is true, and if I should be okay? Thank you! (also my apologies if this is in the wrong forum? I’m really not sure what this dilemma of mine can even be labeled as.)
You’ll be fine. This happens with most home schooled kids as well. No difference in admission standards.
