Hey everybody,

Davis is looking to be one of my best match/slight safety schools, so there’s a great chance I’ll be going there to study Poly Sci.

Seeing as it’s close to the capital and all, I was wondering if anyone knows about how internships are?

UC Davis has one of the largest internship programs in the country. This along with the largest intramural sports program and the biggest sports booster club in the country (the Aggie Pack) make Davis a unique and wonderful campus. Each year, the Internship and Career Center places approximately 6,000 students in internships that provide practical experience to complement coursework. Internships are imbedded in UC Davis culture, and there are good reasons why so many thousands of students view them as essential. Internships are great preparation for graduate and professional schools, as well as for launching a career. Internships allow students to explore their interests and skills, evaluate their preliminary career plans, and change direction if need be. An internship adds a powerful line to a student

Seventy percent of ucdavis students particpate in internships through the campus provided extensive offerings. They currently provide over 6,000 internship placements per year. These opportunities help students clarify professional goals and often lead to career jobs. They also offer on campus interviewing with hundreds of employers through their Career Recruiting Program.
