Yet another CR question

<p>On the other thread, we are asking for ideas for books for a non-reading boy in order to boost CR. But here’s another area where I’d like help.</p>

<p>One thing my son has noticed about the questions he gets wrong on CR is that he extrapolates. His answer is logical but can’t be supported by the text. Any ideas for stopping that? I told him that if it’s not in black and white then it’s not the answer. We’ll see if that makes a difference, but I’m hoping for a magic idea that would hlep in this regard. :)</p>

<p>Pretend that he’s an alien reading the text, who knows English but knows nothing about anything else. All he knows about Earth is what he is reading in that one text. How would an alien answer those questions?</p>
