My hopefully last semester at CC. I have received my Fall grades, all A’s. Quick stats, cliff-notes version:

*Total CC GPA including non-transferable courses : 3.61. I truly hate how my CC factors in worthless courses.

*UC GPA, as far as I know, 3.85-3.9+.

total units completed, including Fall semester and two AP courses - 43. I am currently enrolled in 18+ units for Spring. Lab/college math IP.

Schools: UCSD, UCD, UCSB

Possible problems: I’ve been enrolled at CC for 4 or 5 semesters, not consecutive. I was a student throughout high school only taking a class here and there to boost my HS GPA. Most of those classes were not UC transferable.

No Ws, but this is my second semester with a “full workload.”

So I have the GPA, but only 8 or 9 UC transferable classes. Not counting Spring. My major is not impacted at all as far as I know.

edit: oh yeah, my income is basically poverty level. Awesomeposome. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing considering budget cuts.

Discuss.

Your UC GPA is the one that counts, don’t worry about your overall GPA (unless you plan to go to grad school)

GPA is definitely good enough for the schools you’ve listed, have you fulfilled IGETC? and disclosing your major would help.

Income dosen’t really matter. First generation college student and URM status matters if you are applicable.

I know, but my UC GPA is predicated on ~23 units or so. I’m getting more than 10 from AP, and then the 9 units for fall and rest for Spring (wont count towards GPA). I know a lot of transfers here have 50 units straight from CC before Spring, that’s not me. im very spread out, and i haven’t completed all the major pre-reqs yet (only humanities). lab/math is IP for spring.

My IGETC will be done by end of spring. major is global studies.

okay that’s a relief.

@CosmicBubble global studies

How do you calculate UC gpa? Because my tag page gives me a different gpa then my transcript…

I’m just estimating. I have basically all A’s, not C’s.

chances? anyone else in a similar situation>?
