"Yo, yo, yo......what's ya major??"

Cheesy/boring/typical/lame line to start conversations with? How do you make conversation? Asking what the persons major is seems to be the best place to start off, but it has gotten so redundant over the years that I’m wondering if people would think you’re boring when you ask their major the second you start talking to them. It’s the most expected question.

yeah… but it doesn’t stop people anyway.

hey, it IS something to talk about when you first meet people at school.

Yeah. I also ask where they are from, what dorm they live in and that kinda stuff…boring, but it works!! everyone does it

I second those notions made in #3.

Classics/Philosophy. . . now what?

Gotta start somewhere I guess.

You may not want to phrase it exactly the same way as the title of the thread, however, unless you have already established yourself as a goof!

Yeah, I was branded “a goof” the day I started crying in Kindergarten when the other kids mocked my inability to color within the lines. It was. . . devestating, to say the least.

“Gotta start somewhere”, adconard? I’ve already changed majors from International Relations/German. I’m open to suggestion right now, so don’t give me any ideas. . .

Elipses. . . . . I. . . . can’t stop. It’s a disease. . . . .a form of literary Tourettes Syndrome, perhaps?

I don’t have a major :(

Yo yo yo it’s Biology/Biochemistry/and mutha****in Latin PLAYAAAAlol
