Lebron James is going back to Cleveland.

I have no ties with Cleveland. Might be my age, but I find Lebron going back home uplifting!

Great letter from Lebron. Happy for Cleveland.

I’m happy to hear this too.

I am trying hard not to be a cynic. We can all all related to a desire to come home after years away, but remember this is big time American sports; the money is the important thing. Now, for the first time James will be the highest paid member of his team.

As a native of Cleveland, I am happy for the city!

Home to his first NBA team, but isn’t he actually from Akron?

I couldn’t care less. Go, Spurs! <---- that is for xiggi

“but isn’t he actually from Akron.” Yes, but Akron is not that far from Cleveland and both are in “Northeast Ohio.” I’m sure people in Akron would root for Cleveland in basketball. I’m originally from Pittsburgh but people all over Western Pennsylvania would tend to be Steelers and Pirates and Penguins fans.

In LeBron’s letter, he references being from “Northeast Ohio.” As he said, “I’m coming home.”

He could have made more money by staying at Miami, because your current team can pay you more than other teams. Plus he has made around $450 million in his career in salary and endorsements so far (much more from endorsements actually) and at this stage I doubt a few extra million makes much difference to him.

I hope you realize that Miami would have paid him 20 mil + more
