Hey all, I have an interesting (at least to me) idea about my personal statement. I was thinking about writing a “You can’t always get what you want”-esque essay.
Background info:

I’m the leader of a certain club at school that’s a part of a larger out-of-school nonprofit. Each year, they send 2 people from each school to participate in a very cool community-service (school building) in a developing country. As the leader of the club, and without a doubt, the most devoted to the club, I thought I was a “shoe-in”-- I wasn’t. Totally killed my summer plans, but that also led to other opportunities for me in the summer (very interesting internship). (Other important factors – please ask?)

I want to really elaborate furthur and tell you all the story, but at the risk of my identity being figured-out (and I know it will :() I can’t really tell you the full story unnles you PM me or soemthign (if you care :D)

Do you think this would be a good idea for a PS or is it too clich
