You have until May 12, 2014 to take advantage of your four free score report credits????

I am a junior but that’s what it says on “My SAT” page on collegeboard?

Hello?

You can send free score reports to 4 colleges. However, you need to decide on whether and where to send them before you get the scores back. As a junior, you may very well not have fully developed a list of colleges you are applying to yet (although at this point in the year you should be in progress!). You can pick the 4 most likely if you want. It costs money to send scores to colleges beyond the 4 free ones.

Oh, so even if I apply through something like Questbridge, I have to pick my 4 now? And this is RD right?

This has nothing to do with sending out college applications and commits you to nothing. It’s just that when you do apply to a college you need an SAT score report from the college board–colleges won’t accept your scores just self-reported. And those score reports generally cost $11.25 each, although if you are doing Questbridge you may be eligible for a fee waiver. This is a chance to send 4 of them out for free. If you eventually apply to the school, they should have the report on file. If you don’t, they don’t use it for anything. Make sense?

Ok, yea thanks.
