He died last October–not sure if anyone knows. And yet, still, his publishing company is able to come out with a 5th edition of Biology: Concepts and Connections for 2006…hmmm…

yea thats old news… ppl were teasing my AP bio teacher about it asking if he cried or something…

He died suddenly of a heart attack. Students lost a great friend when he died. He promoted teaching with fewer factoids and more big ideas. He had just finished the 7th edition of his big textbook.

!

I did not know that.

May he rest in peace.

His textbooks were by far the best in any subject ever.

he was a cornell professor you know and wrote the first edition of the textbook at cornell.

I hated that book.

Why do they do that? I noticed that with many of my college textbooks, that they postdate it for the next year, ie fall semester '04 class, textbook copyrighted 2005.

I believe the new one is the sixth edition
