<p>You’re right, Bexley Hall was a seminary until the late 60’s, but it was created by Philander Chase in conjunction with the establishment of Kenyon, so I wouldn’t say that Kenyon purchased the north half of campus.</p>

<p>The Kenyon Military Academy was up north but was destroyed by fire long before.</p>

<p>Philander, Bishop of Ohio-- also founded all or most old Episcopal parishes in the area, including Mt.V, Newark, and Granville, I believe. KMA is a new one on me-- you have me digging for that one.</p>
