You Know You're a Pretentious Snob If...

15.) if you feel the NEED TO CAPITALIZE EVERYTHING.;)

16) You think that the opinion/argument of anyone who can’t differentiate between your and you’re, as well as who’s and whose, is automatically invalidated.

17) if you use 1337 regularly lol.

yes olgita, I’m a pretentious snob, but I’ll admit to it.

18) You know the difference between “black tie,” “white tie,” and “casual” and don’t mind telling people the difference (although everyone should know, but in today’s society…sigh)

“yes olgita, I’m a pretentious snob, but I’ll admit to it.”

I was actually thinking of myself when I wrote that; your post just gave me the idea.

Hahha, well that’s even better then :]

19) You insist on consuming hamburgers and fajitas with a fork and knife, continental style

^Oh. I’m guilty of that too… Maybe I’m more pretentious than I thought.

“^Oh. I’m guilty of that too… Maybe I’m more pretentious than I thought.”

I was beginning to think the same thing after reading the comments on this thread. This actually makes me feel somewhat better, since I know I’m not the only one :)

“18) You know the difference between “black tie,” “white tie,” and “casual” and don’t mind telling people the difference (although everyone should know, but in today’s society…sigh)”

I honestly have no idea what the difference is… :(

If you prance around like a fop criticizing the fashion sense of every person you know or heap fashion advice onto others with out being asked lol. I’m guilty, oh well at least I dress better than you!

^^ lol I’ll consider that #19?

20.) When you rate your peers’ intelligence by the score they got on any standardized test score?..or am I the only one? (trying to get over this…)

"“18) You know the difference between “black tie,” “white tie,” and “casual” and don’t mind telling people the difference (although everyone should know, but in today’s society…sigh)”

21) If you assume that knowing basic fashion common sense makes you pretentious

“21) If you assume that knowing basic fashion common sense makes you pretentious”

Oooh…touch

22) If you go to the trouble of adding accents with an American keyboard.

23) If you even use words that require accents.

^ I disagree (respectfully  ) with 23. There are very commonplace words that the US uses that require accents because they are borrowed from other languages. Resume (looks like another word in English without the accents, doesn’t it?) comes to mind.

^ Resume doesn’t commonly require accents in its adopted English form.

I don’t know why, but nee (accent on second e) has always bothered me to no end. Why not just use “born” or “maiden name?”
