You know you've been on CC too long when...

when you almost say at a school parent meeting: “my DS needs…” in that exact form…

… you can spot a ■■■■■ a mile away.

When you have memorized all the DS, DD, DH, DW… etc.

I feel like a loser, but I only refer to my S or D. Does that make me a bad CC parent?

I’m the same way, Samurai. That D- prefix has always felt just a bit too precious for my taste (although like everybody else, I’m quite fond of my kid).

…when checking a favorite threads starts to feel like receiving a letter from home.

When you say “A friend told me…” and it’s a cc friend.

when you go to senior “college meeting” at your child’s school and you keep saying to yourself, “I already know that from CC” and “why is everyone furiously writing this? Don’t they know about CC?”

Momofzach - or you’re continually leaning over to your husband during those guidance counselor college info nights whispering in his ear about what she’s saying that’s wrong!

… when they read threads like this for the umpteenth time!! :D

When you feel comfortable missing those HS college info nites altogether!

…when people start coming to you for advice (and your share your “secret” of CC)

…when your DS or DD says that during the big mtg the GCs were telling the Jrs(Srs) x,y,z …“everything we already know from CC”

…when you start making lunch mtgs with CC friends

Hilarious ^^ how on earth do you have THAT many posts? ;o) Too much cc?

when your daughter signs her emails to you “your dd”

Not meaning to poke fun at you fogfog, but I know I’ve been on too long when I wait for the few posters that have that weird post count glitch have to explain it … again :)

I caught myself the other day in an email to the GC saying S instead of S’s name. Yes, and I have used the “friend” to describe someone on CC. Well they feel like friends and I talk to them more than my real friends, sad but true. They are much more helpful than my real friends.

When you learn that one of your CC friends who you’ve “known” for several years turns out to be a different gender from what you always assumed.

When you seriously contemplate asking the moderators to let you start a sticky thread on the semi-obscure topic that you seem to be the only semi-expert on because you are more than semi-sick-and-tired of repeating the same information over and over and over and over.

…when you can predict in August the type of topics that will be posted a month later.

When you read this thread thinking it’s an old one because you know you’ve read this thread before (was it really 2 years ago?).

Only 2 years, amtc? You are a babe in the woods :D

When you know what certain other posters are going to say before they say it. :p
