Hi, I’m applying for the visual arts category for the YoungArts. I had a question about uploading the photos of my paintings. Under the “Visual Arts Requirements” it states “Technical Specifications for Images Created Using a Digital Camera” I was wondering if this applies to those who are entering for Photography or if I need to apply to specific settings to my camera when taking photos of my paintings. Thanks in advance.

Any ideas?? I just wanted a clarification if I should change my camera settings to the requirements stated under “Technical Specifications for Images Created Using a Digital Camera” when taking photos of my paintings to upload.

The word “Created” is throwing me off. I’m probably over thinking this, but can someone please respond if they are also applying or if they have??
Thanks

there must be “contact us” link. you can e-mail your question.

I did e-mail them around a month ago but they haven’t responded yet and the deadline is tomorrow. I think I’ll try e-mailing them again. I also did try calling them, but no one picked up. Anyway thanks.

Yep. tollfree number, as well.

anything like this, you should go to the source, not some strangers’ speculation or a year or two old experience.
and whoever answers your question, take that person’s name.
it is better to do e-mailing, you will have paper trail to prove that conversation was legit.

Oh didn’t see your post.
Maybe try person-person link?

how about ex 1703 Program manager or ex 1704 manager of operations& archival media?
someone gotta have voicemail. or try all extensions until you get human.
It is quite common that human is there but don’t bother to pick up phone at these non-profit.
you have to chase their butt.
sadly, applying to schools are the same way.

Thanks for your help! I think I’ll try to call them tomorrow again.

I submitted my application and it says that it’s been received, but I never received an email with my ID number and the link to upload materials. What should I do?
