<p>Mine is directed towards the admissions people. It’s “Don’t Go Breakin My Heart” by Elton John.</p>
<p>Yea, its definitely…</p>
<p>THE FINAL COUNTDOWWWNN!</p>
<p>Were leaving together,
But still its farewell
And maybe we’ll come back,
To earth, who can tell?
I guess there is no one to blame
Were leaving ground
Will things ever be the same again? </p>
<p>Its the final countdown…</p>
<p>^^Pretty much sums up the whole process</p>
<p>Haha so far we could make our own mix cd, kind of like the Now Hits cds. xP</p>
<p>We could market it to all the juniors here on CC, make a killing!</p>
<br>
<br>
<p>YES. Exactly.</p>
<p>haha def. boulevard of broken dreams…
and also basket case by green day…the first part anyway :</p>
<p>Do you have the time
To listen to me whine?
About nothing and everything
All at once
I am one of those
Melodramatic fools
Neurotic to the bone
No doubt about it</p>
<p>Ooh ooh! I’ve got one! “12341234” by Catch 22:</p>
<p>You, you try, you try to get by
“You’re never going to pull it off”
“You shouldn’t even try”
“You’re a wet ciagarette”
“You’re always second best”
But they’re never going to give a ****
About anybody but themselves
So you fight, for them to realize
There’s more to life
There’s more to you
There’s more than meets the eye
And when you’re done, the battle’s been won
You sit back, you smile
And this is what you hum, you hum</p>
<p>The years go by, the time it does fly
Every single second is a moment in time
That passes oh, so quick
And it seems like nothing
But when you’re looking back -
Well, it amounts to everything
I’ve got myself
I’ve got my friends
I’ve got my little family
But that’s not where it ends
This one goes out to you
It goes out to everyone
It’s in the name of honesty
Because life has just begun.</p>
<p>Haha it just makes me feel defiant - like, “yes, I AM going to college, thank you very much!” And it makes me a little bit nostalgic too :]</p>
<p>I prefer the Streetlight Manifesto version, emtheros, but I feel you. If only printed lyrics could convey how awesome the group chorus is. In other songs from Keasbey, “Giving Up, Giving In” would be a good one for post-rejection.</p>
<p>oh and closing time by semisonic </p>
<p>listening to it right now…its even making me feel a little nostalgic about high school even though i didnt particularly enjoy it…</p>
<p>how about linkin park’s ‘in the end’?</p>
<p>“I tried so hard and got so far
but in the end it doesn’t even matter”</p>
<p>Yeah! But that’s if we get a rejection. xP Alas.</p>
<p>for rejections “you cant always get what you want” the rolling stones or “have a nice day” by bon jovi
admissions- “peace of mind” by boston</p>
<p>Nice on “you cant always get what you want”. I love that song.</p>
<p>I don’t really have a theme song for college admissions, but in Summertime Blues theres a line that goes “Gonna take two weeks gonna have a fine vacation, gonna take my problems to the United Nations” and thats what I’m doing in January! Ok fine, Model United Nations. But still I’m going to the Netherlands for a MUN conference for two weeks! Its a cool coincidence.</p>
<p>Right now with life my theme song is “Always look on the Bright Side of Life” from Monty Python’s The Life of Brian/Spamalot. Unfortunately, this will probably soon turn into my College Admissions Theme Song. This song always cracks me up though :D.</p>
<p>Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad,
Other things just make you swear and curse,
When you’re chewing life’s gristle,
Don’t grumble,
Give a whistle
And this’ll help things turn out for the best.
And…</p>
<p>Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the light side of life.
[whistle]</p>
<p>If life seems jolly rotten,
There’s something you’ve forgotten,
And that’s to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you’re feeling in the dumps,
Don’t be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle.
That’s the thing.
And…</p>
<p>Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the right side of life,
[whistle]</p>
<p>For life is quite absurd
And death’s the final word.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin.
Give the audience a grin.
Enjoy it. It’s your last chance, anyhow.
So,…</p>
<p>Always look on the bright side of death,
[whistle]
Just before you draw your terminal breath.
[whistle]</p>
<p>Life’s a piece of ****,
When you look at it.
Life’s a laugh and death’s a joke it’s true.
You’ll see it’s all a show.
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And…</p>
<p>Always look on the bright side of life.
Always look on the right side of life.
[whistle]</p>
<p>Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]</p>
<p>I can by Nas.</p>
<p>LOL phonyreal, that song reminds me of the actual scene in the movie. My ninth grade teacher played it for us while we were taking a test to cheer us up.</p>
<p>Morning Musume’s Ambitious Yashinteki de ii jan, translation:</p>
<p>Jump! Jump! Let’s take off!
I have the wings of an angel
If you look up, there’s the future
Boys & Girls! Be Ambitious</p>
<p>I can’t really fake a smile that well
But even if I’m clumsy, I enjoy each day</p>
<p>When I’m with my lover, I’m really happy
If I count the final trains, my dreams awaken</p>
<p>Hold me, just those times when I’m sad
Hold me, I’m fine now</p>
<p>Hey hey, each day is happy,
It isn’t such a bad thing to be ambitious!
Everyone isn’t alone, we’re all the same</p>
<p>Jump! Jump! Let’s take off!
Flying forth with the wings made for an angel
If you look up, there’s the future
Boys & Girls Be Ambitious</p>
<p>“Happy Christmas (War is Over)” by John Lennon…</p>
<p>… because I really, really hope that D and I will stop our little fights over college apps by Christmas. ;)</p>
<p>"So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young </p>
<p>A very Merry Christmas And a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear </p>
<p>And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The world is so wrong
And so happy Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let’s stop all the fight </p>
<p>A very Merry Christmas And a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear"</p>
<p>lol @ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” I’m kinda partial to Bloc Party’s “The Prayer” right now, though.</p>
<p>MIRACLES HAPPEN by Myra</p>
<p>You know, it plays at the end of “The Princess Diaries” movie</p>
<p>Miracles happen, once in a while… when you believe!!</p>
<p>Please let her be right.</p>
