Your Dream Course Selection at BS

In most of our look books or additional materials, we all see the courses that that school has to offer. Looking at the ones for the two school I’m applying to, I look at all the courses and end up wanting to take 20 of them! Post here the school and your dream courses for next year. Lets make it the core classes (eng, math, science, history), one language, and 2 electives. Also post sports you want to play or opportunities you want to take advantage of (travel abroad, newspaper, ect.)
Thanks and happy selecting!

Hmmmm

AP Music Theory
Theology
Number Theory
Philosophy
Society and its means
Theoretical Physics
Advanced Literature and Writing

Obviously we need less classes in the humanities, that is my dream schedule though.

AP Calc AB
Physics First
English/Humanities whatever the school offers
Sometime I’d like to take a Russian History course
Spanish
Maybe I’ll start Chinese or Arabic
Photography
Drawing
Oil Painting
Piano (never played an instrument before, want to start)
Somewhere there’s a class about the 20’s and the 80’s I’m interested in…

Oooh so many classes how will I ever choose?

ONLY TWO ELECTIVES!
photo
orchestra
(band)
Spanish 2 honors
Geomotry (honors)
history (whatever the school offers for 9th grade)
violin and piano private lessons
English
Bio (honors)

I would be taking… (I know this already, for Choate at least, from their requirements for sophomores.) I know it meant dream schedule, but this is realistic.

Geometry
Physics
4th Form English
4th Form Global History (Thematic, not Chronological)
Chinese I
Drawing or Life Drawing, Honors (depends on if I can get the dept.'s recommendation)
It says a student may only take 5 full credit courses per term… So I don’t see how I can take anything more than the required English, History, Language, Math, and Science…

whatever Humanities they offer for junior
AP Calculus BC and Multivariable Calculus
molecular biology
anatomy and physiology (already took it in my freshman year but BS would have better tools to study from)
Latin or French II or Chinese III
photography
concert choir
string ensemble

there are ten more classes I would LOVE to take but oh well… I wouldn’t have time to sleep!

As a sophmore
Honors Precal
Physics - the one pertaining to my math course
Chemistry- oh i wish i could get into research
biology -researCH!!!

humanities course

hm i wonder if i can take more classes o.O

Vocal…things. lol.
American history topics, middle eastern social studies courses.
Stats. whoop. (it’s either that or Calculus…HA)
French! Delve into some Italian? That way I’ll have experience in all three Romance Languages:]
chem., maybe, since I haven’t taken that. Or maybe some environmental science sort of courses.
Whatever English is required for 11th, or if they’d let me (since I’ve completing the 11th grade now), some of the senior English classes.

what schools are you applying to everyone?

Latin IV, Something to do with the Middle Ages, Creative Writing, American History, Biology/Anatomy?, Life Drawing/Art Portfolio, Adv. Math Theories, so much more.
I want to go abroad sooo bad, I know that one school I’m applying to has a lot of great abroad programs.
Hmm, I’d do soccer for fall, squash for winter, and crew for spring.

aha! I found the “Courses of Selection” booklet Exeter sent me.

My mouth salivates at the idea of the following classes:

Modern Irish Writers
Colonial America
Capitalism and Its Critics
Imperial Russia
French Humanism
Women’s Chorus
Concert Choir
Understanding Classical Music
God and Politics in Contemporary America
Existenialism
Animal Behavior

my school’s class selection < boarding school class selections.

My schools class selections are so stupid. That is one of the reasons why I want BS so badly.
