Good buy of the day: I just bought a Groupon coupon good for two movie tickets for $5 (total) through Fandango.com. Must be purchased today but can be used anytime in the next 12 months. I figure that’s worth $10 for a matinee and as much as $25 for an evening IMAX show.

Another Groupon…

$45 for a canvas/gallery mount 16x20… this is a fun gift for those grandparents that you can never think of anything. Get all the grandkids together, take a picture, and have a canvas/gallery mount made. I haven’t used this company, but for comparison lab I usually use would be $90 for this so I think this is a pretty good deal. It’s good through 6/25.

@ montori.suzuki - can you post a link to the movie tickets?

A pair of obnoxious Sperry Top Siders boat shoes on EBAY, $14.50 plus shipping, with red Stewart Plaid design, son says they are “embarassing”, good, I will wear them all summer long!

^ Boston just banned Segways from riding on the sidewalks and in parks (just like bicycles).

It’s the kiss of death for the Segway tour companies, because riding in the street with these things would be suicidal.

Gooooo SLUMOM!! I love it! Wear those Sperry’s with pride. That would make me love them all the more as well! :)

it would be safe if you were wearing SLUMOM’s topsiders!

Actually I really lucked out because opening bid was $10.00, so I watched them, no one bid, so dealer re-listed them with a starting bid of $5.00, LOL… One person bid vs. me, then dropped out. Sometimes it pays to just wait!

A brand new, never used bread machine for… 4 dollars. At a thrift store that was having a 60% off sale.

mantori - I looked on Groupon but couldn’t find Fandango tickets…could you post a link or let me know - was it Groupon or another coupon site? That’s a great deal!

I can’t find a Fandango Groupon either but I bought this deal on Living Social two weeks ago. If you haven’t signed up there, do.

I got the fandango tickets on living social too but that was a couple of weeks ago. I just looked on-line but couldn’t find it now.

Good job on the topsiders SLUMOM!

blueiguana, I used the Canvas on demand groupon. Was not disappointed! Fast, efficient, excellent quality…will probably buy another one to use for a gift.

This wasn’t a good buy for me because the limited sizing available didn’t work, but the price is so good I had to share. Sportsbasement.com has women’s Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10 running shoes for $35 with free shipping and free returns. This is a $100+ shoe. It’s not the current generation (GTS 11, I think), but still a great deal. I’ve purchased from Sportsbasement five or six times and have found their customer service to be excellent. Sizes available at this price are 5, 5.5, 6 and 12 – two colors, each white/silver with pale blue or pale aqua.

They also have some items that are “in store only”. This means you need to call for pricing and to place your order because they are prohibited by some companies from posting sale prices. I’ve secured some good deals on North Face jackets this way. Following foot surgery, I’m looking for large shoes, so I’ll be checking the price of the wider Brooks Adrenaline “in store only” tomorrow.

The other day, I bought a white polo style shirt for me from Costco @ $13 or so. I also bought at the same place a swimming outfit for my nephew with rashguard & swimshorts as well as a pair of boardshorts; all three items were under $40 & no hassle returns.

May see if D is interested in trying to get the shoes–she needs a pair but generally prefers crosstrainers.

Aghh, my daughter only wears Adrenalines for running and needs a new pair, but she is an 11. I also love Sports Basement!

fishymom, it might be worth a call in the morning to determine the price of the Adrenaline GTS 11’s which are listed as “in store only”. Sportsbasement promises “lowest price guaranteed” and free shipping.

HImom, these are really high quality shoes for running, walking or daily use. If your D’s size is among those on sale for $35, i’d strongly advise you to check with her. it’s an incredible deal.

My daughter did the photo on canvas groupon last fall and gave us this huge painting/picture of our family for Christmas. It’s very nice.

I’m sorry, I didn’t see this request until today, and the offer was good only yesterday. But I received the offer in my daily email from Groupon. I live in the mid-South. Maybe it was for my area only?

Thanks for the good reviews for the canvas groupon Kathie & gosmom. I thought for $45 (which includes the shipping) I can’t go too wrong. I’m going to have one made of all the grandkids for my in-laws for Christmas. I’m so pleased to knock that off my list so early!

No worries montori.suzuki. Groupon does show things regionally but if you post a link and the item isn’t specific to location (spa or restaurant) then anyone can take advantage of it. Now we are all just envious of your good fortune and deal finding! It sounds like similar deals were offered on other sites so I’ll keep an eye out and also on my local groupon. Maybe I’ll get lucky.
