Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Oh and weird thing at Gap…women’s clearance, extra 50% off. Men’s clearance, extra 25% off - why the difference???

Did well at Gap outlet today…70% off summer tees and tanks, stocked up a bit, and my daughter got a cute cardigan they were 60% off 24.99. I told her that’s it since she’s going abroad, that was it, the 50lb limit comes quick. ; )
Ebags has a 30% off coupon on the usual coupon sites if anyone is looking for a bag/backpack. My son is getting one like his sister’s Etech weekender. He borrowed her and really liked it.

abasket, I’ve seen that too, I think someone told me they tend to mark women’s clothes up more, but I don’t know that for a fact.

If women ever decide to wear buttons on the opposite side, they’ll save a lot!
If your size is smaller to begin with, you can go into the boy’s department and save a ton with better made clothes.

DVF has a “surprise” sale on their site - 30% off, so if you are into DVF dresses, there are some nice ones… :)

Got two r/t plane tickets between HNL & LAX for FREE! Am so happy. One ticket is for H to go to see D at Parents Weekend next month. One ticket is for D to come home for Christmas vacation. The tickets were free using points that I got for signing up for the credit card ($95 fee waived for 1st year). The tickets went down in price anyway–they were under $400 apiece & I got a 20% discount because I used points to get the tickets!

Will buy my ticket as soon as I can hear back from our travel agent (want to use 2 different airlines, as only Delta has non-stop LAX to ATL and I really prefer non-stops whenever possible. A foundation will pay for my flight from LAX to a conference, as well as hotel at the conference I wanted to attend, as well as a meeting I need to be at right after Parents Weekend. They will also probably be able to get me complementary registration as well.

^^^ Great deal!!! Flights seem so expensive right now!

Yay for HIMom!

I bought a Calvin Klein jacket for D at Lohmann’s over the weekend for $30…original Lohmann’s price was $68. First time shopping their end of season sale, good deals to be found on the Friday, very limited on Sunday. If you go, check the item carefully, I found a suit for D, when I got to the register I noticed a huge spot on the sleeve. Other items were torn, so it’s clear no one looks through the clothing before placing it all on the sale racks. I picked up D’s jacket, a black pencil skirt and a casual “run errands dress” for myself for $68 total.

Jos A Banks is having one of their ‘buy 1 get 2’ sales. You can mix and match so we got DH two leather dress belts and one of their Traveler dress shirts in french blue for $90. According to DH their dress shirts are the best he’s worn, wear the longest, etc., and has given up on Nordstroms brand altogether. I’m wondering if they (Nordies) are not made as well as they were 15 years ago?

Yea, just recently when we were checking the prices, they were crazy. I almost booked D a ticket at about $800 r/t, but wanted to wait until she was settled & was SURE when her finals were so we wouldn’t have a nasty surprise (like when I bought S his ticket early & he ended up having an exam DURING the scheduled flight).

The ticket prices have dropped from $500+ to below $400 for this routing! Am HAPPY!

My eBay purchase of ink for our printer arrived, just in time. It was a small fraction of the price we normally pay because the seller’s printer broke & he was just trying to recover whatever he could.

I am able to use it to print our programs for our event this weekend instead of paying the printer $1/program. Since I only paid a total of $47.03 for the entire batch of ink, I think it will be WAY under $1/program to print it ourselves.

Cheryl’s Cookies has something new- Cookie greetings for $5 delivered. It is only one cookie but the boxes are cute and can be sent for all kinds of occasions (birthday, football, way to go kiddo, Halloween, etc.) Also includes a $5 rewards card that the recipient can use . [Cookies, Desserts, Gifts - Cheryls](http://www.Cheryls.com)

The $5 Cheryls cookies are adorable! I’m definitely thinking of a couple people to sent this to. (if you haven’t had these cookies, the frosted ones are SUPER good!).

The little Grace lemon cake is a nice thank you or small gift too.

Thanks for the heads up on this!

I thought the little lemon cakes looked like a good idea too, abasket. Just some cute little low cost things to let someone know you’re thinking of them.

I sent S2 Cheryl’s cookies for Halloween last year. Looks like I may do that again this year.

Couple of days ago I went shopping at TJ Maxx for a dress for the High Holidays and found a nice Calvin Klein - compare at $84, our price $50, marked down to $30. Located it online for $128: [Calvin Klein CD2X1BTR Blue Spruce/Black - Zappos.com Free Shipping BOTH Ways](<a href=“Calvin klein cd2x1btr blue spruce black calvin + FREE SHIPPING | Zappos.com”>Calvin klein cd2x1btr blue spruce black + FREE SHIPPING | Zappos.com). I thought Zappos was supposed to be discount?

Then as I was walking past the small purse stand, a perfect teal faux crocodile clutch jumped out at me - compare at $34, our price $20. Then I thought better get a little cover up. Found a black 3/4 sleeve shawl collar sweater - compare at $36, our price $17 - original price tag attached shows $54. So for $67 I got a great outfit that full retail was at least $216. I LOVE LOVE LOVE TJ Maxx, especially since I lost weight and can actually fit into the clothes.

I’ve sent that $5 Cheryl’s cookie before; also sent DS their birthday box last year.

Marilyn, that is a great dress and will really show off your weight loss. I like many of the CK dresses and that is a very good price. Wear your new outfit often and have fun looking good! :)

Marilyn, According to Cheryl’s Cookies blog from August 7th and their new catalog I got today, the variety of the $5 cookies offered has increased. I believe they’ve added more options recently so you might check it out if it’s been awhile since you ordered a $5 greeting. Could be wrong on that but it appears some of the options are new.

sevmom - having grown up near Michigan State and having gone to Michigan, I cannot bring myself to order a Notre Dame or OSU cookie!

Maybe they’ll make Michigan State and Michigan cookies some day! Too bad they only have OSU and ND ones now-doesn’t work for me either!

Cheryl’s is in Columbus, thus the OSU cookies!

Actually after looking, another good deal is the autumn selection- 6 cookies for $9.99!!!
