Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Good job, HIMom. I’m typing this on my Costco Dell laptop (also $700 and less than 4 lbs with a DVD drive). I’ve had it for 6 months, and so far, so good. It traveled to Europe, Mexico and HI just fine.

My good buy of the day: my favorite Burberry Body perfume for $50 (sold for $80-$90 at department stores with no coupons ever applicable) at Costco! My bottle is getting almost empty, and I dreaded the moment of parting with the big bucks for the next bottle… Yay, Costco! I had to dig in the pile of various perfumes to find the one, but it was a minor inconvenience. Also, a pair of really cosy Ugg slippers to keep my feet warm during the winter months ($40 less than on Zappos).

Eddie Bauer on line today (could be in stores) 30% off everything.

FYI - Costco has a whole bunch of collegiate poly fleece hoodies on their site in men’s clothing section:

Sadly, they don’t have any logowear for USoCal. :frowning: Did just buy a daypack that I can use for upcoming flight. It was only $13, small & light.

My good buys of the weekend - A night at the Washington Hilton for $100 on Priceline and a three hour DC Segway tour for $37/person. A good time was had by all!

Segway tours are so much fun! I’ve done two (San Diego and Santa Barbara). I’d love to do a DC one. (And $37 is a STEAL!)

Wow that seems like quite a deal and so much fun!!! Put it on my bucket list…

For REI members, just got several Smart Wool sweaters at REI with 20% off coupon (on 1full price and 1 outlet item) sent to me via e-mail. Used the coupons on 2 separate orders and got free shipping on both. One sweater at outlet was originally $80.00, I paid $43.53 after sale and coupon. One full zip sweater, originally $115 (full price), paid $90. All in all, I got 4 sweaters, a wool T-shirt and 2 prs wool socks for what I would have paid for 2 sweaters full price.

With home heating costs expected to go through the roof, these are my insurance policy for a cozy winter season!

I couldn’t believe my luck last week. Went Halloween costume shopping at the local thrift stores and stumbled upon a two piece The North Face warm up set for $2,95 in my daughter’s size. Then, to my surprise, I found a brand new pair of Hush Puppies black leather flats for $2.

If y’all are ever in the Louisville area, Zappo’s has an outlet store. 50% off everything, and some things 60-70% off. Had a pretty decent selection, and lots of stuff in size 9.5, which is usually hard to find.

Just ordered my holiday cards from Snapfish using a 50% off code. Probably can find better deals at Walgreens or Costco but this was easy and offered lots of choices.

Caribbean (Domincan) variety purple streaked eggplant, 49 cents a pound at the neighborhood greengrocer. These beauties are tastier than traditional black large eggplants, and typically cost twice as much.

The memory box from Paper Coterie ordered with the $40 off code has arrived. I really like it, and D will love it. Her grad cap won’t fit in it (I thought it would), but the programs, cords, cards, etc will all fit. It will be a nice Christmas present.

Harry and David “Halloween Tower of Treats Gift” is 50% off. If you order today, it arrives by October 31. Even with a $9.95 shipping charge, it’s only $30 for a great gift. D loves, loves, loves the pears and there are 2 of them in the stack of treats.

Need to bump this up!!!

Come on! I know some of you are already holiday shopping out there! Share your good deals/steals!!!

(I rely on this thread to help me make some of MY shopping decisions this time of year!!! - like when someone posts the “Burts Bee’s” online special)!!!

Yesterday, was returning two daypacks at Costco. The lady at returns indicated that they had been marked down from $19 apiece to $13 and now to $10. She gave me the price I had paid for each @ $13, plus an extra $3 for the one I am keeping. I thought that was an amazing price.

Macy’s has some of it’s luggage at 50% off.

I went to a photo studio and got a CD of the entire session and a release for $199 instead of the $299 they originally wanted for it. Told him I didn’t need the prints, just the CD & release.

Free cooking classes at Williams Sonoma. This past class, they cooked and served a turkey. It was delicious!

Disney fleece throws with free personalization and free shipping…for $10. Picked one up for the new baby in the family.

Where at Mom2M???

Omaha steaks has been bugging me to buy from them again for 6 months…sent me an offer today better than most, 4 top sirloins, 4 pork chops, 4 boneless chicken breasts, 2 stuffed sole/scallops, 4 steak burgers, 8 franks, 10 potatoes, 4 apple tarts, free cutlery set and (cheap) cutting board and a bonus 4 burgers for 49.99. I might get this for my Mom who hates to shop now at 82 and would like the way they package everything individually.

Most things aren’t a bargain, but this was I feel with free shipping.

Disney Store!
