Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Can anyone recommend a replacement for Lands End’s discontinued (they say they’ll be back in 2013) boys open bottom climber pants? The original has an incorporated belt that can be used for waist adjustment, whereas their “replacement” includes the internal button and elastic waist adjustment that my kids find much less comfortable. Anyone know of a decent, adjustable from the outside, reasonably sturdy, pair of boys pants, that doesn’t look too dork-tastic? ;)

[Columbia Men’s Coup De Main Insulated Jacket - FREE SHIPPING at Altrec.com](<a href=“Altrec is Moving”>Altrec is Moving)

^I bought this jacket in black at TJMaxx today for $59. It’s a rarity to find a men’s size Small so I grabbed it and it fits my oldest son perfectly. It’s comfortable, lightweight, and non-puffy.

[Calvin Klein Classic Crewneck T-Shirt, 3 Pack U9001 - Mens Underwear - Macy’s](http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/calvin-klein-classic-crewneck-t-shirt-3-pack-u9001?ID=60128&CategoryID=57#fn=BRAND%3DCalvin)

^ I also picked up a pack of these in black at TJMaxx for $16.99.

They seem to be getting a new stock of winter coats every few days so if anyone is looking for one, browse through TJMaxx and take a look.

Treated myself to a coach bag on sale online in the outlet store, since I have very much enjoyed, and gotten a ton of use out of the one my DH bought discounted at a coach store at a PX. The one I ordered today claims to be about 75% off the original price (30% off the outlet price) but, what they carry in the outlet store is different merchandise from the regular store, so not 100% sure. At any rate, its a nice leather bag for a reasonable price. ORdered a businesscard case too. Probably paid too much for that, but it saved $10 on s&h, so thats my ratinalization and I’m sticking to it.

Jym, I like the way you think!

I think rationalization should be my middle name :)

Am getting FREE replacement Tasco binoculars because the set we bought in Alaska was misaligned when we took it out of the box (new). We didn’t have the receipt or anything but when I got back to HI, called the credit card company & they helped me figure out name of store where it had been purchased, as well as contact info for the store. When I called the store, spoke with the man who sold them to me, who had manager call me back. Manager called back several days later with info about contacting the manufacturer. The manufacturer initially wanted me to mail back the binoculars but I protested that it would cost about 1/2 the cost of the binoculars to mail them back so they said, “Fine, keep them & we’ll just send you a brand new pair from the factory which SHOULD be properly aligned.”

Am hoping that the new pair will be better aligned than the pair we currently have, otherwise, am not sure I will buy future Tasco (or Bushnell) binoculars because I learned that Bushnell bought Tasco from the manufacturer’s toll-free number. H has reinstated his opinion that Tasco is not his favorite brand but we were both surprised at the merger/takeover.

Enjoyed using my 20% off entire purchase at newly opened Plow and Hearth store nearby.

Have bought their stuff online forever, dangerous to have a brick and mortar store that I can now SEE more things I NEED.

Actually, stuff I bought today are early Christmas gifts. That’s my story.

I have a 20% off coupon for Goodwill. I have to use it by Halloween. I don’t think that will be a problem!

STEALS at the Gap Outlet store today! Made out like bandits! I bought an off white lace crochet dress originally $75 for $6.98! D got a pair of colored denim shorts for $1.76. Cute black skirt, $6.58 and nice rolled cropped jeans for under $15- plus we took another 25% off the above prices with an additional coupon I had- crazy!

Wow, some of those prices beat Goodwill!
Thumper1, how did you get a 20% off coupon for GW? I’m jealous.

This weekend at GW I got two pairs of jeans…one Banana Republic and one Old Navy (oddly enough the ON jeans are men’s skinny jeans that somehow fit me) for $4.99 each and a Brooks Brothers black merino wool v-neck cardigan for $3.99. It’s so soft and will go with everything.

abasket, that’s great, we usually find our Gap outlet a mess and walk out but before my daughter went abroad this year, we took a chance and caught it right…deep discounts and she also got a great dress for about 10.00, tee shirts for 3.00 and I got long sleeve shirts for about 5. No coupon, that must have felt good!

40% off one item at LE. I got a winter ski jacket regularly priced $139 for $83.40 with free shipping. Second time this season LE has offered the 40%. Second jacket I have bought from them. Promotion ends today.

I just got a new suit and five work shirts for $130. And a pair of $80 shoes for $40! :)

Ema…where?

JCPenney for everything but the shoes, which were Macys. I stopped shopping at Penneys after the changes because things seemed to not be so nice, but I went in out of desperation as I have an important work event coming up and I hit the jackpot-- I forgot, I even got two pairs of pants. You just get lucky sometimes, I guess! The pants were $40 and the jacket was only $22… and I think some of the shirts were just $12 or $14. I’m quite sure I paid almost twice that for the same suit last year.

I just bought a Keurig Mini Plus coffee machine for my DH for work. Price $99.99; 20% off coupon from Bed Bath & Beyond, $20 off. Rebate good until October 28th from Keurig $20. Final price $59.99 plus tax!! Makes the machine a decent deal!!!

Rebates are available for all the machines and increase with the more expensive machines. If you are thinking of buying one for yourself or for a holiday gift, do it before the rebate ends!

Just ordered a Memory Box for D from Paper Coterie—they have a $40 coupon on their facebook page (you have to claim the coupon on facebook for the code to work). So I only paid the shipping on the box. I used graduation photos, D can put her stoles, gold cords, etc all in the box. It will store on the bookshelf if she wants.

Got 4 golf shirts for my H at Macy’s, $6.39 each! They were marked to $7.99 and I had a 20% off coupon.

I bought these Merrell boots at TJMaxx today for $59. They’re so comfortable. I plan on wearing them with jeans. They look cuter in person.

Got a new laptop from Costco that is only 4.1 pounds and has a built-in DVD. It will be perfect for the plane & meetings I’ll be attending! It was $150 off so only $699 and has a 90-day no hassle return policy as well as a free extra year of warranty because I used my Costco AmEx card. Am hoping it satisfies all my wishes!

Have unsuccessfully tried netbook and tablets, so am hoping this will work well for me.
