Another Kohls deal…shopped online for Levi’s for DH, two pair of 501s for $46, shipped to the house. Used codes VETSDAY10 PIES30 and FREEMVC…for $10 off, 30% off and free shipping. The jeans were already on sale for buy one, get one half off.

D asked that we get her some nasal steroids. We made a quick trip to Costco and got 6 bottles of nasal steroids for $72–no need for an Rx any more! She says that is the only thing that keeps her allergies under control when she’s in HI and she’ll be visiting for 2 months–YEAH! We are happy to have the meds that will keep her as comfortable as possible.

I love it when you guys post good buys that we can all share. I have used this thread many times to find something I was looking for. Sometimes even for things I didn’t know I needed.

Groupon today: 100 photo Xmas cards from Staples (normally $81.99)-- for $15.20

($19.00 Groupon, plus use SALE promo code for 20% off). You place order online…but have to pick up at store…

Thanks - Just bought the xmas card groupon. That’s cheaper than Costco!

You all are costing me money! I bought TWO packs of the socks today! Now, off to look at that groupon…

Thanks! Bought the Groupon for the cards, and will check for socks at Costco!

I bought some of these Teddy Bears from Kohls…only $2.50 for a 10 inch bear, they have arrived and are nice and soft. I plan to donate them to the Toy Drive, but they would make a nice gift, too. Free shipping with Kohls card and FREESHIPMVC code.

i am wearing a pr of my merino socks. Might go see if the mens version are thin enough to wear with shoes ( not tennis shoes) . Anyone know?

I need a Costco!!

thumper, I drive 45 minutes to my Costco so don’t get there often. My excuse for my last trip was tires for the car but those socks were my fun purchase!

Dang, Staples is too far away for me. If anyone hears of another card deal, please post it.

Bought more socks yesterday - brrrrrr need them here now. Thanks again for tip !

Costco is a 45 minutes away, but they are building one by next summer, will only be 20 minutes away, can’t wait. How do you compare Costco to Sam’s Club or BJ?

On the way to the grocery shopping this morning, saw a yard sale sign, stopped by and bought a Brookstone Theraspa massage chair topper for $3, in excellent condition, owner is moving, originally asked for $5.

I bought my sister something for Christmas online with Nordstrom’s (which has free shipping). Only 20% off but I still thought it was a good deal. Alex and Ani “sister” bangle bracelet. She already has an initial one so I know she likes their bangles. Their stuff is made in the USA and they have all kinds of bangles(initial, birthstone, college, NFL ,etc.)

Hopeful, I have a BJ’s about 10 minutes away and I go there pretty often, sometimes just getting milk and veggies. I think Costco is better, especially for clothes and their own branded items, but BJ’s does have a nice organic section, and sometimes the very same bulk items as Costco.

Hopeful, I’m guessing from your screen name you are a Vermont resident. My son is a senior at a college in VT. We were at the Costco near Burlington in September - I like to buy their Vermont coffee in the 2 lb. box.

Another pack of woman’s merino wool socks bought by me at Costco - haven’t worn them yet but they feel great by touch- and I am NOT a wool fan!!

Pleased with my 6pm purchase received yesterday - 60% off these boots which will be my “go-to” with jeans, skirts , etc!!!

I went to buy the socks today. While there, I noticed that the Lindt truffles were on sale. I usually go to a Lindt store at the outlet mall every December to stock up for Christmas. The ones at Costco were WAY cheaper. At the outlet you have to buy 375 truffles to get the best price and that would be $10 for 50. At Costco they were $6.99. And you can buy one bag if you want although I bought 8 of them.

I buy those every year. Stuff our advent calendar with them, stockings, drop them amidst cookie platters I make for friends, etc. it’s a GREAT deal!

I like Costco MUCH better than Sam’s. The quality of the clothing and food items tends to be significantly better. Don’t know about BJs, as have never been in one.

I especially love the Costco no hassle exchange and return policy. It truly sets the store into a league of its own. It helps that Costco is a short 5 minute drive from our house with great parking (tho sadly no gas).

I think BJ’s is only on the east coast. My sister goes there and always raves about the prices. They have a travel service too-she just got a good deal for a trip that beat all the online sites. HImom-do you mean you like COSTCO better than SAM’S? You first say you prefer Sam’s but then talk about how Costco is in a league of it’s own. We have a Costco and Sam’s both about 10 minutes away and we buy different things at each, gas at both, depending on whether we need it. Another sister works for Costco-she’s worked her way up from a stock person to admin-they really ARE one of the best places to work in the US. She is treated very well-always has been.
