Thanks for heads up–did correct myself. I have had Sam’s membership a few times and let it lapse. They do have a few things Costco doesn’t and more furniture but generally I prefer Costco. Have been costco member continuously since 1992.

Oh, ok, that makes more sense! My sister kind of stumbled on working at Costco as it was near where she lived in college and she’d heard it paid well. She just celebrated 30 years there. The main thing we get at Sam’s is tires and certain meat H likes to smoke.

For anyone who loves Denby pottery/dishes, and doesn’t care if they are seconds, shepherd hills pottery has a huge sale, up to 90% off. I have a couple of things from there and can’t tell they are seconds, but ymmv.

Have to check out that website…^^^

Do you have a lilnk @1214mom???

Is this the place 1214Mom? http://www.shephills-denbyseconds.com/

Just remember my other good buy of the day from Costco. They had simple cardigan sweaters for $9.97. I was looking for a cream colored one and - ta da!

Just got 3 pairs of dark blue GV jeans which fit and only cost $15-18 apiece from Costco. Was surprised they had short online, so don’t have to buy the others and hem! Won’t need new ones for years now!

Walkinghome provided the link. I called them today and they said quality could be a little less than normal bc they haven’t received a shipment from Denby in quite some time, but the prices are amazing. I ordered a couple of things, and 4 bowls for a friend. Shipping was about the same price as the items we ordered.

Just bought a set of microfiber sheets at Costco, $24.99 for king size, they are very nice, very soft. I have been trying to find sheets I like for a few years, tried the other Costco sheets, the ones around $50-$70. meh, they are smooth, but not soft, they are still crackly & overly crisp. I have tried others that feel soft and then they get thick over time & don’t feel soft & smooth.

These cheap sheets, so far, feel quite nice, not quite as cool as the ones I am trying to replace, but very nice. DH even commented on them!

Thanks, Gosmom! Just registered myself, H & D for AmEx small business Saturday. Planning to go and get gift certificates at our favorite small business restaurants on Saturday. Nice they’ve increased the statement credit to $30!

Wonder if they will allow gift cards to be used on the AmEx deal??? Either way, very nice - thanks for the link!

Yes, last year, I bought gift cards for a neighborhood restaurant we like and got the statement credit.

somemom, Did you get your sheets on-line or at the store?

I bought a set of them last year, but was convinced to return them by posters on cc b/c the sheets supposedly got very hot. Did you find t hat to be true?

just to clarify the Small Business thing…it’s $10 credit which can be used up to three times per card…
here’s link to offer terms

will be buying the neighbor kids books from our favorite independent bookstore. Yes, will have to do three transactions, but ndb…

I got them at the store.
Jym, I was wondering if these were the same as the ones last year! I have only slept on them a couple of nights & it is winter, but yes, they do seem warmer than the cool crisp sheets I am trying to replace. But then, there were two blankets, a down quilt, a furnace husband and a big dog helping with the net temperature! I will let ya’ll know what I think in a couple of weeks. If anything, I would at least use them in the winter. I bought my Mum a set of those fleece sheets at Costco and she absolutely loved them, also warm.

on RIteAid’s Facebook page…got a coupon for $5 off a Starbucks or Barnes and Noble gift card of $25 or more…
