Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

$10 Starbucks card for $5 on groupon today.

@deb922, thanks for the Starbucks Groupon alert! I just got one.
I missed the BOGO Holiday drink deal at Starbucks last week though.

Starbucks deal seems to be soldout.

I have been checking for the Staples cards, keep getting it in my cart & then it is sold out before I can pay for it :(

Nordstrom has many boots on sale for half price now.

One more Costco deal–they occasionally have really nice camisoles. Sometimes loose and sometimes 2/packs. I got my daughter the ones with the stretchy lace on tops and she wore them as a peek-through with a top over them. She got lots of compliments from her friends. It’s our secret though where she got them:)

Enjoying my cozy wool socks from Costco (made in the USA!).

Even though my daughters are not living at home at the moment, my merino wool socks disappear. I have the latest 4 pair bundle in my car until Thanksgiving is over and I can put them in the wash confident that they will all be there when I pull them from the dryer.
REI has 25% off one regular price item for members, plus a number if things on sale through the weekend. They are starting to crack down on children using their parent’s membership. #1D bought a new jacket and they were reluctant to give her the discount, telling her she should have her own. We’ve been members for 30-odd years, since the original store on Cap Hill, and this kind of bothered me.

Love that REI, zeeba. I bought my down sleeping bag there for $25…in 1972.

For those who are up for going through cash back sites when shopping online, I try to remember to check both ebates.com (mentioned above) as well as mrrebates.com. The latter frequently has a greater rebate than the former. I’ve done this for years and, as, again, said above, both are legitimate sites.

one of my Amex cards has an offer for Amazon…spend $15 and get one time only $15 statement credit.
Both of my Amex cards have a spend $10 on Starbucks.com, get $5 stmt credit.
One has FedEx, spend $10, get $5 back
Shutterfly, spend $25 get $5 back

Not super great savings, but already knew I’d be using these.

Also, with a code, can get AmEx gift card without purchase fees…

Can anyone clarify if the AmEx purchases for Saturday need to be SPECIFIED local businesses??? There is an artisan event that I’m going to with some high end ā€œcraftersā€ - will that count if they take AmEx???

abasket…
<a href=ā€œShop Small with American Express | Support Small Businessā€>https://www.americanexpress.com/us/small-business/shop-small/</a></p>

on the right hand side is a tab for find small business. Click and then click Continue and then enter business name.

I’m GUESSING that if the crafters have not registered their business with AmEx, then it may not count. That link has all the rules and regs…

I stick with the restaurants listed on the AmEx site and buy gift cards.

Thanks - there are plenty of place listed there!

Great idea HImom to buy gift cards at restaurants!

Our 25-year-old Maytag dryer started making an off noise yesterday. I called the property manager and he sent an email to the appliance repair company he uses for the rentals hd manages. They called us first thing this morning, showed up in the 2-hour time window promised and replaced the broken belt.

While he was here, mentioned odd sound and vibration from washer, so for a small charge he disassembled the washer and reassembled it. It’s now no longer making the irritating and scary sound. Maybe both appliances will run another 25 years!

For his time and replacing the belt and reassembling the washer, everything will be under $300! We are very happy and didn’t want to replace these Maytags. He agrees they’re orobably stronger and sounder than newer units.

Drank the CC koolaid and stopped by Costco for the wool socks yesterday. I have some on now and they are fabulous! Really soft, warm, and cute.

Too funny^^^ I’d hate to add up all the things I’ve bought because of this thread! But they were all good buys!

I wish I could try those Costco socks! I usually can’t wear any form of wool, but maybe these would work!
