cant find it, BB. What section is in it? – oh I found it, NM

Yay!! This may not be everyone’s good buy of the day, but it is a terrific buy for me! My JC booties showed up in the mail, and they are slightly too big. Went to request an exchange, and the price dropped even further this morning! Sure deal, I just ordered the last pair in my size, and will send the other one back.

Congrats!! And the Rue la la deals vanished (or changed-- didn’t note how long they were good for) quickly. Glad I didn’t sit on the fence before pushing the “buy” button :)

** oh, and I informed DH that he bought me a pretty silver and pearl bracelet :)

Tried to put a call out to your all earlier today, but I never use CC on my phone and couldn’t get a new thread post started!!!

I was at a Calphalon Warehouse sale - not really familiar with their usual prices so wanted some quick opinions from y’all!!! The sale is held in an empty Giant Eagle grocery store - you can imagine the amount of stuff they have!

I bought several Calphalon utensils for $3/each. Stainless steel pots (and lids) - 1 1/2 quart and 3 quart, $15/each. 5 quart $20. 2 pack frying pans - 8 and 10 inch - $25. A 13 inch round grill pan, $15. Was REALLY debating over the 5 quart enameled cast iron dutch oven , $40 - did I screw up by not getting it?!

Not trying to out you abasket, but where is this wearhouse? And yes, the dutch oven was a good deal!

I’m in Northwest Ohio - people around here swear by it, but I have never been before today. They hold it every (Other?) year for several days. I think it was 4 or 5 days last week and then today and tomorrow are the last 2 days.

Dooney and Bourke have a tent sale this weekend. It started yesterday. Each day they increase the % of discount. ;

Jealous Abasket!

Ahhh, ECmotherx2 – we used to live in that neck of the woods. I remember lusting after a D&B bag many years ago at one of the tent sales. But, D & S were little enough that I was still carrying a larger bag to hold all the small child paraphenalia, so I didn’t buy it.

Someone wanted the Kohls 30% off code: its PRESENTS30

I just saw this on Amazon: Take an Extra 25% Off Any Book: Use promo code BOOKDEAL25 at checkout to get an extra 25% off any book for a limited time. Excludes Kindle eBooks and Audible Audiobooks. Restrictions apply. It expires tomorrow and looks like you can only use it on one order, shipped to the same address, and the maximum amount you can receive off is $10. Not the greatest discount in the world, but not horrible either, especially if you were ordering books anyway.

Bought D two pairs of cute pjs–$9.99 each and had S charge it on his Target card for an extra 5% off. She said her houesmates are teasing her that she needs new lounging clothes–I can believe that! Also I bought her two other pairs of lounging pants at WalMart, so that greatly increases her wardrobe! ;)

Sounds like great deals! I think anything under $60 for such kind of a dutch oven is a steal.

This is the week to snatch deals - merchants are trying hard to get the shoppers’ $$$ while shoppers are still sitting on the fences. The closer it gets to Christmas, the more desperate last minute shoppers will become, so there is no reason to offer any incentives.

Returned a dress to Nordies for a full refund and bought an identical one for $100 cheaper. They would not give me a price adjustment since it was a clearance item. Oh, well. I play by the rules, too, and it will cost them the shipping and restocking (I wonder if the dress I bought is the one I returned).

^ macys experience.
Bought a couple items the weekend before December 3 friends and family, was told I could call in and be given the 25%, because Macy’s policy is item is reduced within 14 days they will adjust via the phone.

I call, I’m told they offer the discount only on one qualifying item. I’m happy. Glad to get in via the phone.
Bill comes in and no discount applied.
I call again, they have no note about the phone call, but because I’ve been a great Macy’s customer for 33 years, they now give me 25% credit on both items. I’m even happier.

Moral of story- check the bill when it comes in.

Macy’s was a PITA for me. Hadn’t used my card in something like a year and 2 weeks so the cancelled it. And they couldn’t reopen it, so they claimed. And I have my credit frozen so couldn’t reapply on the spot. Was a total pain and I will not reapply. Will use another card if I ever shop there again.

Got a new pair of glasses in mail yesterday with 1.67 high index lenses for $31 total including shipping and handling. Purchased them online Monday from Coastal.com…used some promo codes and a $20 credit I had with them for referring someone else to them who also bought a pair. The new glasses would have cost me about $300 at a local optician and I got the new pair in hand in only 5 days.

I hate Macy’s. Very disorganized store. I save a lot of money by never entering their doors!
