Bought a potential MOG dress at L&T. The dress was a good price, but the sales clerk gave me the friends & family discount of 25%. This will be a good buy, if i decide to keep the dress.

When LT has a sale, the really have a sale. I shopped for a MOG dress with a friend there. She bought four dresses for about $125. It was amazing. Those four dresses cost a fraction of the cost of the one dress she bought at Nordstrom. She kept all four as all were good for some event.
The Nordstom dress was returned.
We also went to Macy’s on that trip. What a friggin mess!

I don’t particularly like the jacket, so I’d probably get a wrap instead. I’m most concerned about shortening the flared hemline. Nordstroms has the dress in petite online, so I might just order that to see if it fits better.
My deal wasn’t as good as your friend’s, thumper.

I hope the L&T sale is still going on because they had a lot of Longitude bathing suits. One of my water aerobics buddies just told me my suit was dissolving in the back X_X
Lovely dress! The jacket is OK but doesn’t add much to the outfit. I can see how the right wrap could really add to the outfit. Sadly we have no L&T.
Elegant dress. See if Nordstrom can price-match L&T. They claim they will.
Agree with the posters who say a wrap is better. The jacket is too match-matchy.
Thanks for the feedback. I agree about wearing a wrap instead of the jacket. I wasn’t expecting to wear a long dress since I didn’t think this wedding was supposed to be formal. But then the MOH is wearing floor length, the MOB is wearing floor length, and I want guests to realize I’m the MOG, so I guess I’m wearing floor length too.
The dress seems to be on sale on Nordstroms website, so it would be about the same as I paid at L&T. I should probably order it soon.

@shellfell, order it from Nordstrom ASAP, like today. I once found some shoes with a price match that made them pretty inexpensive, and the next day they were back up to a MUCH higher price. I’ve seen it with other things also. You can always return it, but you want to lock in the good price.
I see some stuff at Nordstrom marked down 30% - that’s most likely Saks price match. It looks like Nordstrom is also price-matching L&T as some items are 25% off. The sale will be done when L&T is done with theirs! If you don’t like it, the return is free!
Nordstrom had several 25% off price match handbags in our HI store. Didn’t see any 30% off.
Unfortunately, Nordstroms wouldn’t match the L&T price since L&T’s price was on a regular size and I was looking to purchase a petite. I ordered it anyway. If the petite fits better than the regular size then I might make up the price difference on alterations.
This is not the first store that has had the same item in both regular and petite sizes, but only reduced the price on the regular size. It’s unfair and annoying.
Shell fell- I love the dress but not sure about the jacket.
My good buy of the day- I went last week to look into replacing my kitchen faucet that is frozen. The sales person told me to call Grohe since they have a lifetime warranty. I called this am and I am getting a new faucet sent out. My old faucet was purchased in 97. I had to pay shipping an a portion of the new but that will be refunded when I send back the old faucet and my invoice from original purchase.
Nice to know a company that stands behind its products.
I also have a happy story. Less than a year ago, I bought a machine with 5 rechargeable batteries. After about 10 months (using the batteries each about an hour per month), one of the batteries stopped working and wouldn’t charge or recalibrate. I wrote to the company I purchased the equipment from and they’re sending me a replacement and label for the defective one to return. No charge (usually a replacement is $200-500 and only a 30-90 day warranty! Woot!

My good buy today is for a shower gift for a niece and her fiancé registered at Macy’s. I bought eight place settings of their every day stainless - regular price $63.00 each - on sale for $30.99. After the FRIEND code was entered, 25% discount, each one was $23.24. I am happy. My niece will love this gift.
