Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Bought some cosmetics from Lord and Taylor. Used a coupon which gave $20 off a $40 purchase. Had two coupons so bought mom estee lauder makeup she needed $80 worth for $40. Also got a very nice gift with purchase. She was long overdue to replenish what she had.

Just bought these Teva sandals for my 81 year old mother for our trip abroad this summer! She wanted a good walking shoe - but she refuses to pay $$$ for ANYTHING - I thought I could get her these and put some quality shoes on her feet for a good price.

Not exactly my style but might be good beach walking/dog walking shoes for many!

@abasket I love those Merrells. They come in different colors, but the sizes are strange; 5, 8, 10. So a good deal if you can find your size.

Here’s a good one: I finally received in the mail yesterday the folder thing from Kohl’s , thanking me for my 11 years with them, and supposedly enclosing a coupon for $11. BUT, the coupon was not in there. It was supposed to have been attached by that sticky peel of stuff, but it was not in there. Don’t know if it was left out or if someone opened the thing (it is easily opened) and removed it.

That’s awful. I’ll bet someone is on to what is in there and took the coupon out.

Due to foot problems, I have to buy expensive shoes. Zappos didn’t have my size in a $150 Naot sandal I wanted, so I ordered the shoe from shoebuy.com with free shipping, no sales tax, and currently 16 percent cash rebate from ebates! Several companies are currently offering 16 percent cash back via ebates.

Jym626, I got my kohls anniversary coupon yesterday and was near there today so I stopped in. The coupon starts tomorrow lol. But underneath the coupon was a 30% off coupon. The clerk couldn’t use the $ off but she did give me the 30% off. That was nice and I was happy.

I saw the 30% off coupon because there wasnt anything on top of it like it was supposed to be!!

@jym626 or @deb922, do you have the code for 30% off? I only got a 15 per center this time. Thx

Well, we were able to be patient enough to wait for prices on tickets we wanted to drop from $730/person to $598/person, x 4 people, saved $528, which is a nice chunk of cash!

@1214mom try SANDAL30 for 30% off Kohls

Thanks @DebmomNY.

Nordie’s shoppers - ebates offering 16% back today.

Went to Walgreens yesterday to get some CoQ10 vitamins for my grandmother…saved 95%. I lucked out finding on shelf store brand CoQ10 vitamins clearance priced from $9.79/bottle to 98 cents…grabbed all 8 bottles on shelf. When checking out discovered the vitamins where BOGO priced too so ended up getting them for 49 cents/bottle. Paid $3.92 total for the 8 bottles…saved $74.40. Checked x-dates on bottles…good 'til 7/2016.

Lizard…that is great! Wonder why??

I’m guessing the items I bought yesterday were a slow mover for Walgreens because they were 50mg size softgel tabs and not the more widely used 100mg tabs…grandmother can take 2 of the 50mg instead of just one 100mg at a time. Anyway, I was figuring on dropping $30 or $40 for a bottle of the vitamins yesterday, but lucked out getting the deal on the clearance stuff. Might hit up some of the other Walgreens around town when I pass them to see if I can get a few more bottles for future use.

Got another 9 bottles on way home from church this morning at a different Walgreens…same 98 cent clearance price, but not 2 for 1 deal today, that ended yesterday. That’s the way the BOGO ball bounces. Still ended up with about a 4 month totyal supply of the vitamin on the cheap for my grandmother.

@lizard - what does your grandmom use the CoQ10 for?

Her cardiologist or primary care physician recommended she take CoQ10 along with a few other prescribed medicines and vitamins…I’m assuming it’s for her heart. She sees the doctors regularly and reviews medications each visit…she doesn’t take anything they don’t recommend and I’m not going to second guess her doctors…I’m just a donkey for her once in a while picking up her medications at the pharmacy.
