Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

CoQ10 is a natural antioxidant and part of what the body needs to generate engery, including the heart. Many docotrs consider supplements to be critical if you are on statins since statins deplete it. Others recommmend it if there is concern about heart function. That’s a great deal. I’ll have to look for it.

thanks! I had heard of it before and couldn’t remember what people used it for.

Anyone ever buy a sport coat online? And have any suggestions on a good site? We visited a few stores today and I wasn’t happy with the choices. I think we’ll need to alter whatever we get anyway.

What kind of style are you looking for, @Picapole? Something younger, more updated? Try j crew or bonobos. Something more traditional? Brooks Brothers.

It’s the last day of REIs anniversary sale.
I didn’t find a thing to buy, but I feel like I’m missing out. I bragged on another thread that I didn’t go to the mall all weekend, and that’s true, but I did just order some new bras from Lord and Taylor. They were on sale, so hoping they fit well.

Bought something today that was about 35% of its original price. I was going to ask if they also gave a military discount on Memorial day but didn’t have the nerve…

We got the the airport way too early Saturday so I treated myself to a 10 minute back massage because I kept losing internet connection trying to type emails and was getting frustrated! It really was more like a 20 minute massage but she only charged me for a 10 min massage and I got a military discount. I tipped her well

Went shopping with kid #2 for her to be work clothes at the Ann Taylor Loft for 60% off if I opened a credit card. Bought tons of clothes. But then kid #2 stop by Lucky brand for more jeans and we bought tons more clothes for 20% off.

Nordstrom and Saks have discounted some of their higher end designer merch up to 40%. I ordered 2 pairs of Tod’s flats with a tiny wedge built in. At least one of them will go back (hope one will stay).

@BunsenBurner – now you have me wandering the Tod’s page at Saks. Do-not-need-any-more-loafers.

Have you ever had the rubber-soled Tod’s resoled? I have worn down some of the little dots on leather and rubber-soled loafers (not the suede driving mocs) but the tops of the shoes are still in perfect condition. Can shoemakers replace the dots?

Good question… I have not done this. Googling led me to a TPF thread on this topic. Apparently, Tod’s will not resole their shoes, but they can be resoled with regular rubber soles.

Thanks BB! I have gotten so used to the traction provided for driving that I find my feet slipping at the start of each summer as I transition out of loafers. I think I would miss the dots.

I love these dots, too! I rotate several Tod’s wedge shoes for walking around Seattle, and so far, the only thing I had to replace were the heel thingies. The dots held up pretty well despite being subjected to daily Pill Hill runs!

The Ross stores around here have a lot of nice (Ralph) Lauren dresses in an array of sizes. All are marked down from about $134 to $49.99. Since today is Sr Discount Tuesday, I paid $45 instead! Found a lovely navy slinky knit with emerald green accents. Also repurchased the black faux wrap for $18 instead of $20! Total price for the two classic dresses with tax was under $70!

I found nice sandals at DSW from Ralph Lauren for her work shoes. Kid #2 went into Nordstrom but didn’t find anything she liked.

I got a “Where are you??” type of coupon from DSW…25 off 49.00 and my daughter found a nice pair. I actually hate shoe shopping, just didn’t get the gene, but seeing her “score” and get two pairs (one on clearance) made me smile.

To the nice person who sent the brand new, gorgeous silk wrap runway MaxMara dress to Real Real, thank you! It fits me very well, and I paid about 15% of what it would have cost retail.

BunsenBurner, you always find the best deals! Good for you.

Selfridges’ sale is on! 50% off spring and winter stuff when you sign into your account. The delivery to the US is not free (£25), but the prices are hard to beat! Ordered a couple of cashmere jumpers (lol, gotta love British shopping) and a blazer.

@oldfort, they carry a large selection of Max Mara.

1214mom, thanks! That was a pure serendipity find.

If anybody still uses the Entertainment coupon book, it’s on sale for two days only for $7. Free shipping
