Ugh. This is NOT a good buy of the day - and I’m upset about it!!! Thought I’d share with other 6pm shoppers…
Since when is 6pm not free shipping on everything!!! Found a Marmot skirt I wanted today - great buy, under $30. Now it’s only free shipping for orders over $50!!! ANGRY!! I really wanted the skirt and was in a time pinch so I just paid the shipping…if I had more time I might have tried to look for another item but my skirt was the last one so didn’t want to chance it.
This will cut down on my orders from there. My D2 knows I fully support 6pm shopping and she will often just order one thing to be shipped to her at school.
Glad I checked out our local TJMaxx today! There were all sorts of All Clad cookware - I walked out with a much needed non-stick pan and a 4 qt pot with glass lid, $100 total.
I got a 16 quart revere ware stock pit for my son…$8 at a resale shop. In excellent condition. I couldn’t believe it was only $8. There is one just like it on eBay with a starting bid of $49.99.
I LOVE Revereware pots, especially the older ones. We still have ours that we got in the 80s and they’re in GREAT shape, without exception. Same with the Farberware pots we got at that time. Nowadays, sadly, they’re not nearly the same quality or materials used.
I got a new stainless steel tea kettle, two stainless steel canister sets, and 3 baking sheets that were on sale for $9.99 each (reg $24.99 each) for a total of $20. (Using a $10 off coupon at Macys) (Tools of the Trade)

Our Costco has a special promotion going on, “while supplies last.” It’s a gift-wrapped box with some edibles and a $55 gift card that you can use toward a new membership or renewal of your membership (regular or two of them for executive). There’s no sales tax and you get the little container of edibles. Our membership needs to be renewed in Nov anyway, so I went ahead and bought two of the gift cards and had it applied to our membership. I will be giving the edibles as little tokens of appreciation in my upcoming trips in Nov & Dec. Win/Win!
In HI, the edibles were Hawaii-themed, so not sure what they are elsewhere. It includes a packet for a pot of Lion Hawaii Coffee, some mac nuts, some mac nut candies, some HI shortbread cookies and some mac nut kisses. Let me know what’s in your area–just curious.
I was just at Costco and they were encouraging folks to buy it. I don’t know what is being offered at places other than the Costco I went to in Hawaii Kai (which has a HUGE volume of sales and tons of members in the area). I couldn’t find the offer on the costco.com website either.
D2 would like to brag about her good buy of the day yesterday - a pair of Tory Burch flats at Nordstrom Rack - originally $195 for $37! They are adorable!
