@Waiting2exhale, if all the docs you respected and saw in your state recommended that you were too complicated and referred you out of state for care, what would you do? That is the situation I have found myself and my kids in for many, many years. This is why our family pays a great deal of money traveling to our healthcare providers. It is a choice, yes. We are grateful that we are able to get great physicians and healthcare providers to work with, but did wish we could get quality care WITHOUT having to fly to obtain it. We are also grateful that our providers are âin networkâ and participating and preferred.
Grits80, I just joined Ebates last month. I noticed some cash goes on quickly, some not. I had an online TV purchase, to pick up at store go on in one day, Amazon purchase took 3 days, one never came. I will try to keep tabs now. Upromise was always quick when I used their program for an extra 529 but my kids are out of college now and I am using Ebates now. Sometimes I notice Upromise gave more back but they didnât have 15% specials. The 15% special is all week for Ebates for anyone interested.
,
Iâve never had a problem with mrrebate. As Iâve said, I prefer it to Ebate.
Today is free ice cream cone day at participating Haagendazs stores. Free kiddie scoop on cone between 4 and 8 pm.

Got upgraded to Gold premier mileage plus today, for FREE! We were surprised as it happened to both me and H. We have only completed a total of 3 flights, tho we gave another 4 booked. It will be nice to get economy plus seats at no extra charge.
it was a surprise. >:D< We are likely to book a few more flights in Nov and Dec this year as well.
@HImom, When I say I am totally jealous I mean it with nothing but love. (Man, am I jealous!)
EDIT: also for Hlmom; I wasnât sure if your previous post about patient flying was an industry term or not. I kind of figured some of the other stuff you put in #7761 to be in the picture. Truthfully, I donât know that those options would be something I could afford to do, so Iâm glad some perks seem to be coming through for you.
My Fitbit charge HR is being replaced. No warranty on the new one, but no charge for the replacement.
Our family has put a high priority on healthcare and is willing and able to fly to get medical care as needed. In an ideal world, would greatly prefer to get great medicsl care where we live, but are grateful to have access to wonderful healthcare professionals who are willing and able to help us when our local experts are stumped.
It is great to be able to fly economy plus, so that we have leg room and can pick things up when we drop them, especially on flights lasting 5-10+ hours apiece!
Ugh. I am guessing they already turned off my current Fitbit (unless itâs the continued malfunctioning) as the time currently says 2:45 and other things are âoffâ. But the replacement wonât arrive for 5-7 business days. (And I will e out of town).
Someone may have mentioned this upthread, but Ebates is offering 15% back on LOTS of online stores - Just got an additional $10 back on a pair of sale Nike shoes!
Has anyone tried Cardcash? It is a website that sells gift cards at a discount.
I bought one in a small amount today to try it out.
My older D and her friend are big fans of Gift Card Granny. Sometimes for the larger amounts theyâll split the cost and go on a shopping spree. She especially likes the deals on Victoriaâs Secret and DSW. Theyâve never had a problem.
@sseamom CardCash has these machines in grocery stores where you can get cash for your unwanted gift cards. I purchased a $25 g/c online for $18. You have the option of printing the g/c or getting the card in the mail. During the summer months dd meets a lot of friends for lunch or dinner at the mall so I was looking for discounted g/c for Panera, Starbucks, Panda, CPK, or Chipotle. Typical college student handout places.
Hmm. Have not seen those. Similar to the one I was talking about, but without the machines in stores. Iâll have to look around.
I WASNâT going to buy anything even with the ebates promotion. I WASNâT, really, I wasnât. But then daughter sent a link to a pair of boots she wanted at Macyâs, originally $70, yesterday only $21 after my 20% coupon. Of course I had to buy a few pairs of shoes for myself to get the free shipping, and with the 15% ebates, well, the shoes were practically free.
Itâs all daughterâs fault.
I got some shoes tooâŠnot quite as good of a bargain but not bad : ) I saw some birkenstocks I liked but they wont let you use most discounts from shoe dealers.
I also got about 50.00 from change collecting in my home from the coinstar machines. Everyone had a change bowl and at the end of the month I went to cash in. If you get a GC, itâs 100% back. I always pick Amazon and have about 70 in credit right now. Itâs not money given to me I realize, but in change form, was stagnant and now we can buy something useful with it.
We went to Muji and bought several organic cotton tshirts @ $9.95 apiece. Mine is long-sleeved and D got 2 that are short-sleeved. H got 3 pairs of socks for $12. We are all happy.
We have been putting off getting some new appliances for as long as humanly possible. Well, it was finally time. Beyond time. They werenât exactly cheap, but with an old friends and family discount from the days when DS did an internship with the parent company, combined with an additional sale, they were 30% off. Compared against the best prices I could find on line or at appliance or home improvement stores, it was still a good deal. But the wallet is much lighter.
Did pay for them with the new replacement USAA Visa card which is doing an extra 10% off the rewards $ (well that equals 10% additional of a 1% reward, so , eg, $10 will be $11, but itâs better than nothing.
Cruised through TJ Max today and found the carry on bag I was looking for on clearance for $25, down from $140 Exactly what I wanted for Europe trip coming up.
Totally awesome.^^^
