Yes, many times, printers come with “special” ink cartridges that don’t print as many pages as a “normal” cartridge. It IS irksome, but they make money on the cartridges, not the inexpensive printers.
We bought a multi-function fax machine printer awhile back. I believe it was under $30. We bought it to fax documents with a phone card for long distance because our other multi-function printer wouldn’t use a phone card. I have no idea if the print function ever worked, as we’ve never printed anything on it but it’s super as a fax machine. We have a Xerox solid was phaser printer that is the workhorse in our house. It has excellent quality and uses solid blocks of wax.
Just looking at my landline bill today and saw it was hiked $30 per month. Had a call with their office and had it reduced $25 for the past 2 months and switched cable from Time Warner to the phone company. It will tack on $15 to the bill and eliminate my $23 cable bill. Best of all, will keep my hard-wired copper phone line (useful in power outages). I’m pleased and it supports our local phone company. Will also be returning a digital converter box from the cable company which we’ve never even connected! Will get a pro-rats refund from cable company for pre-payment.
Oh yes, the low price we are getting is good for 2-years, so don’t have to haggle with them again for awhile.
I went just to look for a pair of shorts and did find a great pair of Elliot Lauren black Bermuda shorts that fit me perfectly. Bought them even though not on sale.
All the boutiques I shop at are having great end of the season sales. wish I needed more things but last month I bought a few darling summer pants and tops and a few things for fall, not on sale, so I’m pretty much done until fall/winter sales start.
I am on the hunt for cute black flats but most fall shoes aren’t in yet.
I decided to try a relatively new spa place offering a promotional deal on a massage. I thought their regular “full” price of $89.95 is steep (it’s much higher than my regular massage therapist) but they were offering a promo of $49.95. As I sat in the waiting room with several other folks last weekend for our massage, they hurried us all out and called the fire department! Apparently one of the A/C units on the roof had some issues and was sending smoke through the vents! So I rescheduled for today. And they comped the massage! Plus threw in some peppermint aromatherapy scalp massage. Can’t beat free!! I gave her a nice tip. Ad the pain in my leg that I thought was a hamstring issue she said was an IT band issue. Ithurt when she worked on it but it feels great now!
I swore I wasn’t going to buy anything else, but my mom wanted to go to Marshalls and the clearance rack was just too tempting. So, I bought a Vince gray, white and black stripped sweater (reg $285) for $15! it’s lightweight so perfect for early fall. Then a James Perse plain white tee (reg. $55) for $6. I can never have too many white tee’s. And a plain orange Velvet v-neck tee (reg. $88) for $4 because I can use some color in my wardrobe.
I bought a rowing exercise machine for $10 at a garage sale today. (After buying a foldable exercise bike for $80 at play it again sports yesterday.) Let’s hope I use them! I’ve been wanting one or the other for a long time- never expected to get so lucky on a random day out.
Wow did I hit mother lode at the Rack or what?! A cashmere Burberey trench 75% off! We are talking stuff that never goes on sale! Someone must have recieved it as a gift and returned it because the price was cut off the original tag. Other than that, it still has all tags on and looks pristine. If I can find a link, I will post it!
Ok, it is almost exactly like this one, just in burgundy color:
