Any Keurig users out there…Kohl’s online currently has a 72-pod boxes of Donut Shop and Green Mountain Coffee on sale for $24.99 (you have to add it to your “cart” to see the price). That is cheaper than I’ve found Donut Shop K-cups anywhere before, including Costco. Also, there is $15 Kohl’s cash for every $50 you spend. I bought 4 boxes and threw in a $1.00 pair of holiday socks to up the price to $100, so I’ll also be getting $30 Kohl’s cash and free shipping. I know not everyone is a fan of K-cups - or Kohl’s for that matter - but it is a pretty good price.
@doschico thanks for tip about Washington post 6 month digital subscription with Amazon prime -easy sign up ! Had no idea
I stopped by California Pizza Kitchen for giftcards for my nieces and nephews. Up through Wednesday they are giving you a $10 gift card that can be used immediately and a $20 one to be used in 2017 with a $100 purchase. (So you spend $100 but you get back $30 to use it at the restaurant.) I broke the $100 I purchased into 4 $25 gift cards.
After Wednesday, you will get only the $20 card with a $100 purchase of gift cards.
Another gift card offer starts 11/25-11/28* from the The Cheesecake Factory:
For every $25 in Gift Cards (including either plastic gift cards or electronic gift cards) purchased in a single transaction occurring between 11/25/2016 at 3:00 am EST and 11/29/2016 at 3:00 am EST, the purchaser will receive two Slice of Joy Cards (each, a “Slice of Joy Card”). Slice of Joy Cards may be provided in either electronic or plastic card format. Each Slice of Joy Card may be redeemed on a future visit from 1/1/2017 - 3/31/2017 for one complimentary slice of either cheesecake or layer cake. Only one Slice of Joy Card may be redeemed per guest, per visit. More Details Here [thecheesecakefactory.com].
^^^That offer has been popular in the past here on CC!
Anyone who is in the CT area: Dooney and Bourke Tent Sale in Norwalk CT http://www.dooney.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-dooney_us-Site/default/Link-Page?cid=tent-sale Dec. 8-11th
I’ve gotten wonderful bargains in the past, many for $100 or less.
I think today is last day to use REI 20% off one item coupon.
@raclut, that CCF deal is great. I think I got 16 of them last year.
We eat at CCF fairly regularly, so we just used the GCs ourselves.
Also, our local CCF let me redeem 4 in one visit, with just me.
We used those slices of joy as well. They did let us have one free slice per person all at the same meal. They were fine with us boxing the slices to go as well.
Just got back from Costco. Bought 2 ladies polo style shirts @ $5 apiece plus a child’s hooded sweatshirt (teenage mutant turtle) @ $4.97 plus gift baskets with Costco memberships for $55 and no tax–Costco pays the tax (lots of edible stocking stuffers). Bought 2 of them for us and 2 for S. Had the memberships added to our respective accounts.
They also had sparkling pomegranate apple cider on coupon – 4 bottles for $5.49. Bought 2 of those. They also had cute GV lavender jeans for $14.99 in my size and length–yippee! No hemming! I’ve never had lavender pants before.
I think I will be buying some Cheesecake Factory and CPK gift cards. Dang but this is a dangerous thread!
Got another free alien idol type mug with $20 mixed drink by having a friend spot me and paying him back in the free amazon gift cards I’ve been getting from an ongoing promotion.
Great mutually convenient arrangement. Now to accumulate some more amazon gift cards for a few more drinks/weird mugs along with a book on Cold War history, couple of aviation models, and maybe a replacement LCD screen for a possible upcoming client project.
@cobrat not sure your things are “good buys”. Sure…they are saving YOU money because you are regifting gift cards…but it’s not like any of us can get your merchandise at a bargain price…which I think is what this thread is about!
So back to real good buys of the day:
Needed some new grey ankle boots. Saw some that were Black friday deals- could buy on line now for the sale price but would have to pay shipping. So saw that they were at one of the local stores- went up there, they honored the black Friday price and I had an additional 15% off so got boots originally priced at $79 (no one would pay that - but they were “on sale” for $39.) I got them for $20. And I got a local sports team logo thermal drink holder thing (will keep beverages warm or cold for like 12 hrs). Originally $35. I got it for $23. Thats not a huge discount, but official NFL stuff isnt often on sale, especially during the season.
I thought that we do sometimes share good buys that are specific to us-like a find at Goodwill or a local bargain place in addition to sales in national chain stores or websites?
I have scored big in the last few days as D and I have hit the thrift stores during her Thanksgiving break visit. The other day she found some above-the knee leather boots that list for $100 for only $15 and today we found a “pleather” jacket that is a Macy’s brand that lists for $160 new. That was also $15. I don’t usually pay $15 for anything at a thrift store but these were obviously great deals even at that price. She’ll be going back to school in style.
Yes @sseamom - those are BUYS, which is the topic of this thread. I take @thumper1 's comment to mean that the discussion of trading stuff for gift cards or what have you (which was posted before previously so this seems to be more of the same) is off topic for the spirit of this thread.
When I post about a find at Goodwill, it is so others KNOW that they too could get other good finds at GW.
Purchased this nice 6 piece fragrance sampler for my mom at Macy’s online.
It is priced at $20 but I had a $5 reward and also got 10% cashback from ebates.
I believe shipping is free on beauty products or you can pay online and pick up in the store which I prefer.

My mom doesn’t like large bottles of perfume but this will be nice because she gets to try several small samples and she will be able to finish them. She already uses some of the ones that are part of the sampler set.
Also as far as a good deal I had $5 Kohl’s cash (rewards) and was able to purchase two towels online. Basically I am getting them for free.
Just bought a few things from Home Decorators Collection. They have “12 days of deals” and it’s day 6 - time for 30% off all Martha Stewart items, even ones on sale. I had put things in my cart yesterday, and wanted to think about it because one thing was expensive, and today it’s suddenly a lot less!
Also bought it through the SW portal so I will get an extra 3 points per dollar.
Here’s the expensive thing ($49.70 with discount): http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Martha-Stewart-Living-Clip-On-LED-Candle-Ornaments-with-Remote-Set-of-10/00/440/
Thanks again to whoever recommended Coastal for eyeglasses. I just received my second order from them. They’re having a BOGO sale. On 11/17 I ordered two pairs of Rx glasses and they arrived today. The fit is perfect, I can see well with them and I love the frames. Local optical shops rarely carry the size frame I need, and too often the ones they do have are not attractive.
I finally understand what ‘slices of joy’ means. The last time you guys talked Cheesecake Factory, probably in the spring, I had no idea what was being spoken of.
Ok, just bought tons of CPK gift cards yesterday and today. The cashier said I couldn’t use my $10 bonus gift cards the day of purchase but the waiter was happy to take and process them, reducing the cost of our meal.
Will be buying CPK gift cards with slices of joy next.
This is a dangerous site and thread.
