Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

http://www.airfarewatchdog.com/blog/31332435/free-uber-rides-from-the-airport-happy-holidays/?source=45568&nltv=&nl_cs=31386508%3A%3A%3A%3A%3A%3A

Through December 31, Uber customers can get two free rides from select airports, worth up to $65 apiece, when charging the rides to an American Express card.
To receive the discount, Uber users must enter the promotion code AMEXAIRPORT when requesting an eligible ride, and selecting an American Express card as the form of payment.

See the link for eligible airports.

^ that’s useful, @doschicos. Will send along to my kids.

So as much as I don’t like kohls. I keep finding good deals. DH wanted a polo shirt with his college logo on it. That has to be ordered on line as we live nowhere near his undergrad U so they don’t sell any of his logo stuff around here
So they have a sale going on sports clothing (NCAA, NFL, NBA, MLB etc) on Kohls website and I picked out one that is extra light, dry etc, and also a new flannel nightshirt for me. Both on sale, and I had a 30% off code as well. When I then applied the $5 kohls cash rewards $, the price dropped $0.31 below the amount needed for free shipping. So I called, and they said to place the order and then they’d issue the $8.95 shipping back to my card. I put it on my Discover card since they are giving 5% back on department stores right now, and I ordered through mrrebates which is giving an additional 4% back. And with the purchase I’ll get another $10 in kohls cash.

^ Kohls. What about this deal for a KitchenAid Artisan mixer: KitchenAid Artisan Mixer $214 AR + $60 GC

“This deal is back through 12/5. This KitchenAid Artisan 5-Quart Stand Mixer (model KSM150PS) drops from $349.99 to $329.99 to $263.99 when you add the code SNOWY20 at Kohls.com. Even better, use this rebate form to get a $50 prepaid Visa card, dropping the net price to $213.99. And Kohl’s Charge cardholders can save 25% instead of 20% with code SNOWY25, which would drop the price to $197.49. Plus you’ll earn $60 in Kohl’s Cash to use on a future purchase. This best-selling mixer has a tilt-up head, 10 mixing speeds, and a stainless steel bowl. It also comes with a wire whip, flat beater, dough hook, and pouring shield. It comes in 31 colors. Sign up for or sign in to a Yes2You account to earn $5 back in rewards for every $100 spent, which would get you $15 back on this purchase. Shipping is free, but there is a $7.50 surcharge, and sales tax is charged in most states.”

I’m impressed with somebody’s ability to dig up all these deals on one item
makes my head spin. But I also wonder how Kohl’s is making any money

Where is that from, @gosmom ? Actually, if whoever did that used the mystery codes that came out today (I got 30% but it went up to 40%) they could have gotten an even BETTER deal!

I think it was this thread where someone who missed the black Friday $274 ipad air 2 sale was looking for a good deal on one. I heard second hand that Staples will have them for $299 this Sunday. Wasn’t clear if this was in store or online but I hope this helps someone.

@1214mom Sorry I didn’t your post sooner. You can get an Apple TV 32GB 4th generation for $105 right now. Prepary 3 months ($105) for AT&T’s new DirecTV Now streaming service and they’ll give you an Apple TV for free. You can do it online in which case you have to wait a few weeks for it to arrive or go to an AT&T Company Store and pick it up there. The service just started 2 days ago, so it’s going through some growing pains, but the Apple TV deal is for real.

@youcee, since this is a gift, we likely won’t go with that option, but that’s for the info. Others here may want to take advantage of the offer.

Travel deal: Using Airbnb for part of an upcoming vacation and referred my adult son so he could book and we both got $35 credit - his applied to the immediate reservation, mine is for future use. If you recall I did this with my daughter last summer too

My D wanted me to pick up a few items to give to grandma for Christmas. 9 items $25 plus tax. Their classic items were 5 for $25, then I had a coupon for $15 off $40 plus a free full size item under $13. So 6 classic body washes or body lotions, 2 hand soaps plus another body wash. I received the coupon in the mail and because they came in the same flyer both coupons could be combined.

@deb922, you didn’t mention where? Assuming bath and body works?

@1214mom If you can find one in a store, you could have the new Apple TV in hand and just cancel the service immediately. 2 store employees that were there when I got one realized what a good deal it was and were talking about getting one as gifts. It comes in a brand new package, same as any other store.

Lol! I thought I did! Yes, bath and body works. I get these coupons from there all the time and ignore them. This one was pretty good.

During the holiday season I find unique gifts at Trader Joe’s. I end up spending money on family and friends but do try to treat myself to some small luxuries that make me feel pampered.

Trader Joe’s has a

  1. Face mask trio giftset for $6.99
It is called, “Refresh, Renew, and Restore.”
One is a clay mask made with orange peel, lavender and sandalwood oils
Another one is an exfoliating blend made of pineapple, papaya, and aloe leaf juice.
The 3rd one is made of rose hip foil. Sounds interesting. Can’t wait to try them.

  2. I mentioned this last year but again they have Hand Cream Trio all containing shea butter for a price of $7.99.
The three formulas are olive oil, argan oil and kukui nut oil.

The also have a salt scrub trio that very interesting. Small things to help you relax while planning for the holidays.

I could easily make a trader joe’s gift basket as a hostess gift.

@jym626 (re: post 8803), not sure where it came from, as it was forwarded to me because my D has on her registry.

I love this thread
saw the Instant Pot Duo mentioned again here last weekend and ordered it from Amazon. Unbeknownst to me, DH also bought a kitchen gadget last weekend - the Anova (sous vide). It was on sale for $99 on Black Friday. I didn’t know about the sale or would have posted here. We are both experimenting and will be eating especially well in the days to come!

I still have not bought a thing since Thanksgiving other than groceries
 :frowning:

Tlcdirect.com has nice pink cotton nightgowns with a touch of polyester that I bought for a dear friend just diagnosed with breast cancer–$15 apiece. They’re much more reasonable than most other sites and shipping is $6.95. They also have assorted attractive headwear. It’s a nonprofit arm of American Cancer Society.

Aack, got the Kohl’s 40% mystery coupon that expired Friday midnight, and bought the Elite 8 qt “instant pot”! And I’d just bought the Instant Pot 6 qt Amazon deal for DD on BF! The Elite came in cheaper than the Amazon deal! Kohl’s cash rewards, and Ebates, oh my! I’ve bookmarked the IP thread and Facebook page! Love this thread too!

Did you get 40%? It was either 20, 30 or 40 but you couldn’t tell till you applied it at checkout.
