Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

@kjofkw Kohl’s:

**FROSTING30

I just looked through the Goldstar (discounted performance tickets) listing for comp tickets (free, but you have to pay a service charge) and snagged the very last free ticket for a concert titled Salute to Vienna with something called the Strauss Symphony of America and the Hungarian Ballet at a nice music venue. Regular price tickets that are still being sold for my seating area are $69. I will have to go by myself, but it sounds like fun.

Both of my girls wanted new underwear. I was able to find Calvin Klein on the clearance rack at Macy’s. 40% off the already reduced price plus an extra 20% off sales merchandise with a coupon they had on a table at the escalator. All regular price of $12 a pair. The sales prices ranged from 2.60 to 4.50. A great buy. I have had good luck with bras and underwear at Macy’s. Both of my Macy’s have a 40-65% off rack in the lingerie department. It is hit or miss but I’ve found some great deals.
My pumpkin chocolate chunk breads have arrived from William Sonoma. A great buy at 2.99 thanks CC.
Headed to Ulta tonight with D to take advantage of my Ulta 25% off entire purchase coupon.

@mom60 - I wondered if the Ulta coupon works for fragrance purchases.

The special coupon does. Most don’t. I get fragrances for my daughters and give at birthdays in January and the beginning of March.

I made it to Target today to pick up the Fitbit(s). I ordered 2 but they were at different stores. I went to the nearest store and explained my problem with not being able to order/include the free Yurbuds on the online order, and that the Cartwheel didn’t work. I learned the Cartwheel doesn’t work online and this store said they don’t override that. However…they had to re-ring the order to get the yurbud offer to work, and would honor the online price. Then I could use the cartwheel (10% off). They also let me buy two at the same store (one is black, not the color I wanted but I figure we can exchange it) and then I didn’t have to go to the far away suburban store tonight. Total price for two fitbits and two yurbuds, after 10% cartwheel and 5% redcard? $92 bucks.

I’m a happy Target shopper tonight.

@showmom858 - zeebamom is correct the coupon says it is good on fragrance. Not valid for Clinique and a few other premium lines. My D and I had a fun trip to Ulta. In addition to the coupon we cashed in all our reward points which have been accumulating. We took $122 off our bill.
Wish I had a Target nearby.

Does anyone know a good company that converts old video tapes and cassettes to DVDs?

Costco does it.

What abasket said. They even converted our 16 mm movies to DVD, and the price was very reasonable.

Thanks!

Just know that the fitbit charge HR is the old version of the watch. The new one is a charge HR 2.
The newer one is much nicer. I have the old one and while I like it I’m considering getting the newer version.

I looked up the Target site and it shows the old version of the watch. It originally sold at 129 a year ago but now the newer version is out. The newer version (HR 2) has been on sale for 129 this year.

Definitely the older version, but at $45, I can live with an outdated version. My daughter had the Charge last year and is on her third. Fit bit has been great about replacing them, and since the charge is no longer made, they just gave her a new, upgraded one. It’s the band that breaks on the charge, and the new ones have the pop out chip that you can just put into a new band.

The new ones also let you connect to phone to see text message alerts etc.

Just bought D a wool coat that is on sale at Bloomingdale’s. There is a promo code, XJ0PD9CDS60M online or in store DR64712 to get an extra discount. Free 3-6 day shipping. It brought the price of the coat down from $280 + tax and shipping to $112.50 including tax and free shipping. I’m not sure whether she’ll love it–if not, back it goes. If you’re a Bloomindale’s Loyalist, you get an extra 5000 points as well with the order.

I heard you can try Amazon Prime for 3 months for $33. Considering it.

That coat is quite sophisticated, HIMOM. I like it. I hope the collar doesn’t swallow your petite daughter.

@raclut Your daughter (college student) can get free Amazon prime for 6 months and after it will be half the regular price and if she let’s mom use her account…

@racult, I highly recommend it. We order so many things! It’s been great for holiday shopping. FInd an item, click to make sure it’s a prime item and wait for it to arrive at your door two days later. Great way to shop.

@abasket I thought the prices have gone up on Amazon.
