Score! It’s an attractive find at an amazing price! Looks like a classic!
@thumper1:
Consumer reports rated it as a ‘best buy’, it was the highest rated of this type of juicer in their tests.
I just bought an antique wash stand table for $65 on Ebay…was a steal IMO

Our next door neighbor just swapped their pretty new Prius hybrid for a new Nissan Leaf! My brother also just got a 2nd Nissan Leaf and is on the list for the next (cheaper) version of the Tesla! The $10K + fed rebate is dang attractive!
Was just instantly approved for a new credit card with USAA that has an unlimited 2.5% cash back as long as I have a monthly direct deposit of at least $1000/month. Sweet! It has no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee and is a true chip and pin card! It’s only available in some states and is slowly increasing to more states. You have to be a USAA member (I am one through my dad who was in the military very briefly).
I saw *Phantom of the Opera/i this month in the Orchestra section next to people who probably paid $100-$150 for their tickets. I entered an email lottery for the opportunity to buy tickets for $25. I enjoy a show more when I get a good deal.
HImom, what is the name of that card?
It’s a VISA card and is called Limitless, since they have no limit on the rebate you can earn, as long as you meet requirements. It’s better than the CapitolOne Spark card that was giving me 2% on everything with a $59 annual fee. It has no foreign transaction fee and is a true pin & chip card. I should receive the card within 10 business days.
@HImom , I don’t know how you keep track of (all) your credit cards - you have mentioned many deals! Do you dump them quickly?
Fidelity has a 2% cash back card, unlimited, tied to their cash management accounts - no minimum, no monthly direct deposit required, no fees. Also a $100 bonus. Just throwing it out there as an option as membership isn’t restricted.
I have just kept most of them, but I will now likely dump a few and mostly use this USAA one for all around 2.5% and the Chase Sapphire Preferred for the primary insurance coverage as well as travel insurance when you purchase using that card. We do have the Costco Citi VISA but I’m not a Citi fan. I am going to stop using the Barclay MasterCard when they stop offering the 5% on gas, Amazon and groceries 2/28. I have fewer CCs than our S who literally has about 2 dozen or more, I believe. I do have a CC with our D, but she uses it on rotating categories. She also has the Costco Citi Visa and the Barclay’s MCard. It’s not that confusing–just need to remember to pay them as soon as the paper statements arrive so I never have any late or finance charges.
That reminds me, I need to call them. When my old Fidelity card got converted to the new one, I got 1.5% cash back instead of the 2%.
Is there a comparison site for credit card perks / costs?
^Nerdwallet usually has some good info on various cc.
Some kind of fare war is going on. 4 airlines willing to fly my DS back to campus after spring break for approximately $80–United, Delta, Amercan and Southwest. That same day and time was twice as much out of our alternate airport a month ago. Check those flights parents!
I’ve had a pair of shoes in my Amazon basket for a year now - $160. Saw them today at Nordstrom Rack for $50. They are now mine (and deleted from Amazon).
HauteLook (a Nordstrom co) has lots of Frye boots! Trying to resist the urge.
We were in Phoenix the weekend before last to see my D in a horse show. On Saturday after she finished showing we ventured out to the Nordstrom Last Chance store. We had gone there last year when we were in Phoenix for a wedding. This is where Nordstrom sends things that were returned after being worn (sometimes not gently!) and where items come after the Rack. They had all kinds of boots in giant bins by size that were marked down an additional 50% off. It was crowded and overwhelming trying to look in the bins. If you wore a women’s shoe size 9 or above (not D or myself) all shoes were an additional 50% off. My D found a gorgeous unworn pair of Ferragamo burgundy loafers with gold trim in her size for $70. She found a pair of AG Jeans for $15 and a pair of Rachel Zoe sandals for $20. So it was a pretty good hour of shopping for us!
I got a pair of jeans at Kohl’s (obviously not designer jeans by any means, but they fit great) for 80 percent off, plus another 15 percent off for a total of $5.80 with tax.
