Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Yesterday I found a sweater at The Rack for 19.99 originally $68 and another at TJ’s for $12.00 on clearance.
They will finish up this winter for me.

Haven’t done it yet, but am eying a $10,000 rebate from Hawaiian Electric Company and $7,500 from fed govt if I buy a new 2016 or 2017 Nissan Leaf. That’s an attractive rebate combo, for sure.

Might want to jump on that soon, @HImom. Who knows what changes under the new Administration might put that fed rebate at risk of disappearing.

I found very comfortable bras at Soma, so got baige and black. They look as good as new a year later. However, they didn’t have the right bra for my sister. I found the salespeople mature and able. She really needs good bras. I may take her to a specialty store.

I got 25 pounds of frozen split chicken breast free! A friend owns a trucking company and it literally fell off a truck and dented the box. He didn’t want to waste it and I have hungry teens so he dropped it off.

Yes, just read about the rebate today and think it’s mighty attractive. I am curious about whether we can add more panels to our small PV system for the electricity the car will need and whether something major will need to be done with the electric company for approvals.

^that is amazing!

Oh, after a bit of digging, I realized that I am a “gold” member of United thru the end of the month, which is why we got the free economy plus seats and extra checked luggage. May have to book those other flights for the year before the end of the month, while we are still gold before we drop to NO status to get those seats.

I just got tickets for Beauty and the Beast buy 1 get 1 free. Today is the last day for this offer.

I got an email today from groupon. $10 target GC for $5. Said it was limited and won’t last. I hope it wasn’t an email only offer but you can search for it.

Too bad. The Target GC is no longer available.

I just bought it 10 minutes ago! I bought and then came here to post! How ridiculous!

I think those are often rip-offs - meaning I have clicked and tried to buy the MINUTE I received the email and have either been told they were all sold out (meaning they were probably VERY limited) or I have been told that you can only purchase one through a special email invite - duh, that’s the link I clicked through on - through that email invite!

Because of this, I’ve stopped even trying them. I did get the email for the Target one earlier today.

I just tried to purchase the Target gift card and got the message: "Sorry, this offer is by invitation only. "

When I went to the website it told me it was an invite only offer. Sorry. I was on the app and it didn’t specify that.

I missed out on the promotion. :frowning:

Yes, but that’s what I’m saying too - I GOT the invite - and still couldn’t get anywhere with purchasing -even when I clicked directly through the invite - and, right after getting the email.

My wife has gotten into juicing, she had a cheap one she bought at kohls, but since she seems to be seriously into doing it, I bought her a juicer for Christmas based on what consumer magazines and commenters on Amazon wrote

Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite 1000-Watt Juice Extractor

This isn’t cheap (it was 279 on Amazon), and it certainly isn’t that compact (about the same footprint as a full size food processor), but wow it really does work great (according to my wife). The chute on it is large enough to juice an entire small apple, and it really extracts the juice, the pulp is pretty dry. My wife loves that it is easy to clean up, she said it is a snap (it is stainless steel), and because it has a 1000 watt motor it is both strong. Some complain about the noise, but honestly it isn’t any more noisy than the blender we have. So far it has held up beautifully, and the 4 year service contract price makes me think these are pretty reliable (yeah, yeah, I know, service contracts aren’t worth it, but it makes my wife feel better lol).

She can produce a day’s worth of juice pretty quickly, and one thing she likes is the juice doesn’t seperate out the way it did with her old juicer, she loves the texture of the finished juices.

@musicprnt

Just wondering…is that juicer considered a “good buy”?

I was dropping off some stuff at my local Goodwill and decided to look at the winter coats. I find coats frustrating to buy in stores because there is usually a lack of petite ones and Goodwill is even worse because sizes are often missing and because they are grouped by color and not size. However, yesterday was my lucky day and I found a beautiful blue wool coat in excellent condition that fit! Looks pretty old. And it was half price! I would have paid the whole $12 but when I got to the register it was only $6.! Found one that looks just like it with different buttons: https://www.■■■■■■■■/listing/503916763/shagmoor-wool-boucle-coat-1950s-vintage?ref=market
