My local library offers free access to several newspapers through my library card, including the Washington Post and WSJ. You might check there too.
Trader Joeās has daffodils for $1.49 for a small bunch. At that price, I grabbed a few. Iāve had a glorious golden bouquet on my dining room table for a week now. Small pleasures make life worthwhile!
^^^This is the time of year that I ācanāt wait!ā for flowers and so I too start buying inexpensive flowers to have color in the kitchen and dining room. TJās is a great place to get some affordable flower gems!

Two small āgood dealsā. Had a package of 2 LED dimmable flood lightbulbs I bought from Costco a long time ago. One has already been in the ceiling. Went to put the other in and it didnt work. Took the package and the one bad bulb back (only 1 of the 2 was bad). They had my original purchase (from 2015!) on file and gave me the $16 refund. Then happened to go to Aldiās on Sunday and happened to spend $47 (both are rarities). Got home and saw a flyer insert in the Sunday paper for $10 off if you spend $40 there. I went back yesterday, and they gave me the $10 (even thought the coupon said it had to be present at the time of purchase). Small events put a smile on my face.
This winter, I have been on a tear when it comes to antiques, furniture in particular. The other day, I found on a FB antique marketplace page , an 1800ās era dresser / bureau for $65. Similar pieces sell from between $200-800 on Ebay. It is almost identical to one I have had since childhood . I had to drive to an area of my state that I am not familiar with, which in itself was fun. I Stumbled upon an Amish market, which is always delightful

FYI - if you shop Target online and look for their GC with purchase deals: Target reduced the amount they charged my CC for the order by the amount of the new GC, then charged it for the GC when they finally emailed it. Iād been told by a Target CSR previously that theyād begun crediting the GC amount at the time of the original purchase (instead of emailing a code for later use) so did not expect to see any extra charges on my CC. In addition, their system had some glitch and it sent out (& charged me for) two GCs instead of just one. I hadnāt planned on shopping Target again (too many other issues), and had to meet their minimum order amount to get free shipping in order to use those GCs. Weāll be well stocked with paper products for a while.
Iām happyāFINALLY used a gift card for Bed Bath & Beyond to buy some Roomba side sweeper brushes. I had a coupon for $5 discount and a $25 card, so after the discount, I still have a $5.13 credit to use up some day and will get the 6 brushes we need with FREE shipping to HI and they even come with embedded screws included!
If I had purchased at Amazon, no screws were included. If I purchased with iRobot, they came with screws but would have been over $20 with shipping for just 3 brushes, so I opted to use BB&B instead and the CSR person at iRobot agreed that it was a better place to get the items.
