Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

Lucky you @jym626 because those are sold out already! I have a pair of uggs with a sole like that and they are very comfortable, much more than the traditional style.

They are very cute.

Due to the glitches in the Nordstrom website yesterday, they’ll be giving 10 points/$ for purchases yesterday and today.

@deb922 bought them from amazon. Price was the best. Between the sale and and a $10 giftcard, they cost $57. IF id bought them on prime day Id have saved $5

The instant pot didn’t come down in price on Amazon prime day (6 quart, 7 in 1). But someone else posted these codes to buy this on kohls.com - on sale right now for 99.99$, HOME10 for 10$ off, BBQ30 for 30% off (kohls’ cardholders only) and FREE4JULY (I think that’s the code) for free shipping. Comes down to 63$. Bought one for D. Plus you get 10$ kohls cash.

Instant Pot on sale again at Kohl’s. (for customers that don’t have a kohl’s card)

Use codes HOME10 and HUGESAVER to bring the price down to $76.49 but you will get $10 Kohl’s cashback.
Use ebates to get 6% cashback.

I spent a bunch yesterday ordering from Nordstrom, but not as much as I expected. I once had my credit card declined there because I spent so much at the anniversary sale they wanted to make sure it wasn’t fraud. Reason I’m bringing that up is in recent years, I just haven’t found the same level of stuff during the sale. I ordered 2 pairs of booties myself. One was Munro, which aren’t as stylish as some, but that brand is one of the most comfortable I’ve found,

I got a free one month extension on my Prime membership since my Tuesday purchases didn’t show up as promised. I had to really explore the website to find their policy, but once I found it and e-mailed them, I had a response within an hour. I was very impressed with how they resolved the failure to deliver in 2 days.

@2VU0609 - do you remember where you searched? One of my Prime Day purchases hasn’t even shipped yet!

OK, I think I actually found it. On the home page go waaaaay down to the bottom right and click on “help”.

When the next screen pops up, go to the bottom half that says “browse help topics” and click on “need more help” on the bottom.

That will finally bring up “contact us” on the new right sidebar

On the new page click on “an order I placed” and find your order

From there it seems easy
phew! They really bury this don’t they?

Prime overwhelmed the supply chain!! I got several emails saying my stuff is being delayed. They must have not counted on the customers that, like me, even though did not buy the Prime crap but ordered regular supplies just because they were looking at the site.

Several of the things we bought on Prime Day didn’t arrive in 2 days, but at the time of purchase their estimated deliveries weren’t by Thurs. In that case, I don’t think we have any recourse to get Prime membership extended.

I went back in to find the statement on Prime extension when there are late deliveries and I don’t find it this morning. I only found the policies on refunding shipping for those who paid a shipping charge. I suspect they have amended the policy for now due to the large number of orders. I made 3 purchases that day and each time the incentive for no-rush shipping was a $10 credit on a furniture, rugs, something else home related purchase. I had no interest in that, so did not select. Previously, I have routinely selected the $1 off digital books, videos, music credit or the $5 Prime Pantry credit. They would have done well to have featured a better offer for no-rush shipping to have alleviated the supply chain pressure.

I basically got the run around from Amazon. The shipping method is upgraded, but the item still hasn’t shipped so I’m free to cancel. Yawn

@2VU0609, once you select the $1 off digital books etc
, do the credit go to a certain place in your account? I can’t seem to find mine.

@4beardolls, when you select one of those deals, they send you an e-mail confirming the benefit when your purchase ships and is charged to your credit card. They will also send you a follow-up e-mail as the expiration date approaches. I haven’t had any luck seeing the benefit display in my account, but maybe I just don’t know where to look. I do know you have to be careful on the digital books as not all Kindle purchases qualify for the benefit.

Thanks, @2VU0609. So the money will go toward any new purchase of digital book, music, etc
 right?

I was successful with my complaint to Amazon about slow delivery. I placed my order Tues morning for items that were in stock, and they didn’t ship til Thurs. Their fulfillment facility was also only 35 miles from where the items were being delivered, so needing 3 days to get there seemed ridiculous. I guess they agreed with me and extended my Prime subscription for one month.

You can get Mosaic status on Jet Blue, for free, by providing proof that you have elite status of some kind on one of several other airlines. It is good for the rest of 2017.

@4beardolls, the digital credit doesn’t go towards just any Kindle book. I don’t fully understand, but some books are not eligible. Something about if Amazon is fulfilling the order. If publisher fulfills, it doesn’t work.

So I’ve been trying not to buy much, but today was a “bad” day.
Talbots is having a pretty good sale with lots of availability in my size.
Got something on sale at Lululemon, something on sale at Athleta.
Nordstrom has organic cotton sheets as an anniversary sale item, and I got two sets.
Plus a couple of other things from Nordstrom.
