Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

I don’t use this brand of cosmetics but MAC is giving a free lipstick to customers on 7/29/17 in celebration of National Lipstick Day.
I am under the impression this offer is also at ULTA. I would check with others stores that sell MAC cosmetics to see if they are offering the promotion like Macy’s.

Thanks!! Kiddo is a huge MAC fan.

The Cheesecake Factory is having 1/2 price cheesecake on 7/30 and 7/31. (dine in only)

More yummy but not the most healthy food deals today - Wing Stop - 5 free boneless wings with any order - 11am - 5pm. National Chicken Wing Day I think! (I recommend the garlic parm…)

Happened across a dress on Nordstrom Rack that was >60% off the price of the same dress on the regular Nordstrom site. I ordered it as a back-up MOB dress. When I returned to the site to show dh, it was gone, so I showed him the full price one instead. I hope the one I bought isn’t a quality control reject. Also found a pair of nice black shoes on NR for dh, made in Italy, at a great price.

Update on the Cheesecake factory promotion. 7/30 and 7/31/17 1/2 price slice of cheesecake, dine in only.

My dd went with a friend to the Cheesecake factory for dinner. They both got their full size cheesecake slices to take home with them. When it came time to pay the bill both were given another promotion card. This one was for a free slice of cheesecake the next time they come in and make a $30 purchase.

I’ve been thinking of getting a Costco membership for my 2 D’s - they are both in the same town - one lives and works there the other is going to college there. I thought I could get by with having older daughter with the main card and use her address and add 2nd daughter as the second user. I know that’s pushing the boundaries a LITTLE bit. - not a bad offer from Groupon.

@abasket I think one membership for both daughters will work out.

@abasket - my 2 Ds share a Costco membership. It’s a pain, but with Costco limiting to two people, we ended up doing it that way.

My son and daughter use to share a membership when my card got confiscated by the Costco teller when my daughter was using it; this was before self check out!! My daughter was the main member and had the Costco Amex; my son was the secondary card holder. They lived in two different cities, but used my home address as their address. My daughter now lives out of the country, so dropped her membership, so my son opened his own.

My sister gave her kids a costco membership to share last year. She uses her home address and so all the coupons and mail go to her (sister) and not the kids. Other than that, no difference.

Interesting. I just wondered if they would have to show some ID at some point along the way…and then D1 would not have our home address. I was thinking of putting in D1’s address - but maybe I should put it in mine??? Even though I have my own account???

Anyone know what might show up in ancestry.com that isn’t in 23andme? (other than people who used one and not the other). Ancestry.com is having a sale for the next few days, but I already did 23andme, and I think it gives info on potential medical stuff that ancestry does not. Anyone know?

My kids share a Costco membership. S lives in DC and is primary. D lives in LA. She had to be present with him to get her card (I think both were together in HI and got it then). They’ve shared for years.

The Groupon Costco deal sounds attractive.

Just ordered 2 items as a wedding gift for a relative’s son whose wedding we unfortunately won’t be able to attend. With the sale and the ability to stack 2 coupon deals, it cost 38% of the full original price

Groupon has Starbucks 10 for 5.

I know this probably isn’t in the spirit of the thread, but I have to gush.

We’re planning to return to Disney World next summer.

My niece is now working for Disney in management. She’s able to extend her discount to us. 40% off our resort.

That’s HUGE. While Disney always offers a discount of some type-- at least in the summer months when we go-- no general public discount is going to match 40%.

So happy!!

@1214mom, thanks. I was not able to buy it. It stated “this offer is for invitation only”. Did you get an email for it?
