Have been having ongoing issues with AT&T cellular (long story) but back in January we did a BOGO deal- DH bought the 10, I was supposed to get the 8 for free (but I chose to get the 256GB memory not the 64, so was to pay $150 more). Long story, I was supposed to start seeing the credits back starting in billing cycle 2. or 3 (then it became 3 or 4… oh please). Went to the store b/c I was having another issues and they recommended a new sim card.
Anyway, the clerk at the store was useless and the folks I had purchased from conveniently left for lunch as I arrived. Had to have them call the AT&T Customer service, and after disconnections, wrong departments, etc, a CS agent claimed I was supposed to have gotten a new line of service for that offer (um NO that was not the deal at that time, and the manager herself was helping me with this purchase). Fast forward, I ask for a supervisor who agrees with me and goes ahead and applies the full balance of my iphone 8 to the bill and then immediately credits the full balance, so I only had to pay around $84 instead of $150 for it. Good deal… sort of.Now if only the problem I am having with the phone (apple blames AT&T, AT&T blames apple or google, since thats what I am having problems with- ONLY when I am on wireless, never when on the internet). So, happy I saved $66 on the phone. Just wished it worked. Next step is to have apple tech support wipe my phone. I am not happy about that. We did get a new ipad also a deal then, and with the deal and my trade in, the new ipad cost $9.
Yesterday I went online at Kohl’s to get a pair of pillowcases to go with a sheet set I’d bought last month. Sale price was $33. I had a 30% code and $5 rewards coupon, and decided I really really didn’t want to go to the store so would pay the ($9!!!) shipping cost. While entering codes online I did something too many times and it froze. I called customer service and not only got the codes straightened out, but the representative also waived the shipping fee so final total including tax was under $22. Plus I had the pleasure of listening to his voice, which would have been perfect for a late night radio dj -deep and smooth.
I’m going to start checking Amazon for more of our dry goods. Our local grocery store sells Near East Parmesan Couscous $1.98 a box. Amazon has a 12 box pack for $20.04 (one time purchase not subscription) so $1.67 a box and the had a $5.00 off coupon which brings it down to $1.26 a box $15.04 total I went to order and saw I had $15.74 in Amazon points from my credit card:-)
@abasket Yes, I think it’s good, very mild. It goes well with fish. Nothing could be easier to make use water or broth add flavor packet and either butter or olive oil, bring to a boil, take off heat add Couscous, let sit, fork to fluff and serve.
@abasket No but today I received one that they were completely overwhelmed and back logged with orders. They sold out of those cinamon gift sets. They stopped the promotion early. I placed 3 orders myself.
No, @abasket , haven’t gotten mine yet and was wondering the same thing. Never got a tracking number with Penzey’s or any shipping estimate. Just got the initial confirmation of my order but no link about shipping.
I had actually forgotten about the order. No, haven’t heard anything since the original order confirmation. Yes, please post updates so I’ll remember to look for my order.
I placed two separate orders. I got a shipping notification for only one of them yesterday - the first order I placed although I only placed them minutes apart. It is expected to arrive on Thursday. No word on the other order. The whole process seems really slow. Amazon has spoiled me to quick fulfillment and delivery.
No shipping info yet but here is part of the email I received:
“Sorry for going 6 days without an email, but with your response to last weekend’s offer we had to lay low for a while. We got overwhelmed. Mail order-wise we are still only half-way dug out, …Once we are caught up, we will find a good way to share the tale of last weekend…
The dust still has to settle, but at this point, it really does look like, if we had not pulled back ten hours into what was planned to be a three-day promotion, by the end of those three days, April 14-16, we would have received more online/mail orders than we received in the first 5 1/2 months of 2016. And we’re not new to this. We’ve been at this for 32 years and thought we had a good sense of the sales reality we faced. Then this last weekend, poof! It’s been a week and I’m still surprised just how clueless we were. More on this to come.”
I have UPS choice, they tell me when something is scheduled for delivery and gives me the option to sign on line if I want to. I got a notice from them on Thursday that something is scheduled for delivery on Monday. They don’t say who it is from, but Penzey’s is the only thing I have ordered.
