@abasket I tried to change a spice in one of my orders and they told me all this in an email.
"Thank you for your order inquiry. I am sorry to report that we are unable to make changes to your order as it is too far along in the process to be modified.
The Penzeys American Heart and Soul box is now on back-order. Those orders that also include additional spices are currently being sent without the gift box. An email confirmation will be sent when your order ships.
As you may have read from Billâs follow up emails or Facebook posts - we received an overwhelming response to our Penzeys American Heart and Soul gift box promotion. We took a lot more orders than we had gift boxes made, or even spices/jars available to put the gift box together.
When the Penzeys American Heart and Soul boxes come back in stock, we will promptly ship them out to you."
Since there is so much discussion about seasonings, I thought Iâd add the Stop&Shop has a buy 5 get $5 off deal on Old El Paso products - and this includes their Taco, Fajita, and Chili seasoning packages that are $.99 each, so we can get them free in multiples of 5. I got 49 packages, plus a can of refried beans at $1.49, and after the ten $5 off electronic coupons, I paid a single cent for my entire order. I am set for a year.
You could always give them to a food bank. I think it was great how @3puppies donated that winter stuff marked down so hugely at Walgreens a month or two back.
I got my Free Friday taco seasoning at Kroger today and also got the previous weekâs freebie - Kettle Chips. So often the freebies are things I donât eat. When they are non-perishable, I get them anyway and donate to local food bank.
I got a nice email tonight that my Penzeyâs order is on backorder. There is an option to cancel the order but I am not going to do that. Looking forward to the spices !
@gearmom They are actually encouraging people not to cancel, even though the response was much greater than they anticipated. They want to do the right thing and fulfill the orders, even if it takes awhile!
@calmom17 His Facebook is filled with Politics so not surprised if the email was the same. Personally Iâd rather have my cooking politics free but he seems to be in SJW mode which seems to inspire these big give-aways so itâs all good.
There is an FTC rule about merchants notifying customers about delays in shipping orders and giving you the right to cancel. Most merchants want you to keep the order, but they have to let you know your right to cancel.
