Honestly, @jym626, we’re in the middle of a remodel and each day brings a new list of what I need to do, research, buy, etc. So, I’ve put the sensor on a list and will continue to evaluate how the Nest is working for us. It’ll be a purchase for a bit later on. Having said that, my hunch is that a single one for the MB will be sufficient. Thanks again!

@collage - if you are remodeling, reroute your ductwork if you can. Or install ductless minisplits. Every room will have its own control and heating/cooling. No need for gadgetry and no heat loss in the ductwork.
Got my May electric bill, the first one where we can compare it with the year prior. $65 - mostly Tesla and our big fridge. We use the same amount of electricity to charge the Tesla as to run the MB in-floor heater (even on a programmable schedule)! Ridiculous.

Yesterday, I finally got my heart and soul box from Penzey’s. I didn’t really get a shipping notice but it came with one of the orders from the get 3 spices free promo. That came with a shipping notice but the orders came in different shipping boxes.
The spices I ordered looked really nice. I’m not sure there is any rhyme or reason in the shipping from Penzey but it all ended well. I’m still waiting on one more order but the charge hasn’t gone through yet.
Has anyone received their shipment from the Penzey’s promo from 5/25 with the codes to receive free spices? I placed an order, got a confirmation, and 8 days later haven’t heard anything at all.
@doschicos, yes I did receive my order from 5/25. It was delivered yesterday. I did make 2 orders that day but only received one confirmation email. But I received the order that I got a confirmation email from. That order sent a shipped email but I never received a shipped email from the back ordered heart and soul box but both orders came the same day in separate shipping boxes.
Hope that was clear.

Yesterday’s e-mail blast about the free curry for Wear Orange weekend mentioned that they were still depleted by the Heart & Soul promotion and some of the others. It sounds like they have been overwhelmed and are just catching up. I hope that they can sustain their socially responsible business model with all the customers who have taken advantage of the freebies. I didn’t order the Heart & Soul because I had ordered several things before Christmas that are taking up room in my spice cabinet and there is simply no room right now. My kids loved the cinnamon boxes that I gave as stocking stuffers.
I received a shipping email but don’t know if it is for the Heart and Soul or 5/25 spices. The order number doesn’t match either. Mystery spices arriving on Monday!
Anyone know anything about White House Black Market and their sale or coupon strategy? I found a dress there that might be perfect for a wedding this summer, but it was full price ($225), and I don’t want to pay that for a dress I won’t wear often.
I received my 5/25 Penzey’s order yesterday.
We have really been enjoying the Heart and Soul spices. Such a great collection, with very nice recipe cards. Have used the curry, galena, Adobe. Italian herb, and Ozark already. I bought some Old Virginia applesauce yesterday so trying the cinnamon is next!
Maybe we should start a recipe thread for new things we have done with our Penzey’s spices!!!

I have not received my H and S boxes. I don’t even remember what is in it. But I have used their other great deals and have gotten a lot at a great value. Last round I spent $75 (vanilla, soup bases and bulk peppercorn mainly) and will be getting $150 in free spice with no shipping charge. But let’s have a Spice thread.
I keep coming to this thread when there’s a new post but it’s become very disappointing.

Bought a “back-up” tie for DH for upcoming DS’s wedding. Will see which matches the grooms men’s bow tie and bridesmaids dress colors. Between the sale price, coupon and what have you, it cost… $1.50.
@preironic a thread is only as good as the interesting responses on it - the page is 700 pages long - we’ve had other multi-post products besides Penzey’s! For instance, the pages about a Columbia jacket page! - I think this group bought a whole lot of Columbia jackets!
If you find a good buy, post it. If it’s of interest to others, people will talk about it!
